AAA: Gas Prices Spike Up by 50 Cents in Western Pennsylvania this Week as Middle East Conflict Continues

(Pittsburgh, PA) Gas prices are 50 cents higher in Western Pennsylvania this week at about $3.74 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report. The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline jumped up by 48 cents over the past week to $3.47, which is the highest that has been since the summer of 2024. The current conflict in the Middle East is causing crude oil prices to rise to over $100 per barrel for the first time since the summer of 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine. The report states that the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Western Pennsylvania was around $3.44 at this time a year ago and the average price that you can expect for a gallon of regular unleaded gas here in Beaver County is about $3.76.
