AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report: Gas prices rise nine cents in Western Pennsylvania this week

(Pittsburgh, PA) Gas prices are nine cents higher in Western Pennsylvania this week at about $3.31 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report. The month of February is bringing gas prices that are slightly higher as the national average for a gallon of regular gas is $2.90, which is up three cents from last week. The demand for gasoline is down because fewer drivers traveled on the road during the recent winter storms. The report states that the average price for a gallon of gas in Western Pennsylvania at this time a year ago was around $3.53 and the average price that you can expect for a gallon of unleaded gas here in Beaver County is about $3.32. According to a release from AAA East Central and AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report, here are the average prices of unleaded self-serve gasoline this week in various Pennsylvania areas:
