21st Berkshire Hathaway Make-A-Wish Yard Sale (June 2, 2017)

Berkshire Hathaway Realtor Services in Beaver teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for its 21st annual open yard sale right on their campus on Corporation Street. Matt Drzik and Ed Hermick showed up with the prize wheel and tunes, and during Teleforum spoke to Berkshire Hathaway members Debbie Sample and Bob Garvin, as well as several Beaver County Radio colleagues that were around and looking for good deals, for an amazing cause.

B.F. Car Cruise Committee Members on Teleforum

Sam Florida, Steve Peterson and Tom Gargaro, members of the Beaver Falls Car Cruise committee, were guests on Teleforum with Frank Sparks on Thursday June 1, 2017. The guys talked about this years cruise on Saturday June 10 that will be on seventh avenue in Beaver Falls. The cruise is from one to nine p.m. rain or shine. The guys highlighted many of the activities that will be going on along with the cruise. WBVP and WMBA will broadcast live throughout the day. Generations Marketplace: The New Flea Market In Beaver County

The Beaver County Radio Prize Van and Personality Prize Wheel appeared at the Big Knob Grange for the Generations Marketplace. Generations, founded by Paula Johnston of Generations Photography & Special Gift Shoppe in Beaver, is a public market featuring local distributors and consultants, that is open from 7 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays at Big Knob.

Dogs on the Run on Teleforum Tomorrow Friday May 19, 2017

Tune into Teleforum with Frank Sparks tomorrow morning on 1230 WBVP and 1460 WMBA from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Frank will have open mic talk till 11:30 when Dogs on the Run in East Palestine Ohio will be bringing in some of their great hot dogs for Frank and the staff of Beaver County Radio to taste live on the air. Frank will also be streaming the segment via his personal Facebook page on Facebook Live.

Huntington Business Spotlight!!! Beaver Area Heritage Foundation.

The Huntington Bank Business Spotlight for the Month of May on Teleforum with Frank Sparks was on Thursday May 18, 2017 at 9:10 a.m.. This month’s spotlight was the Beaver Area Heritage Foundation. Stacey Ivol represented the foundation. Steve Carpenter from Huntington Bank was also in studio with Frank and Stacey.  Frank, Steve, and Stacey talked about the foundation and some of the great activities they have scheduled throughout the upcoming weeks. They also talked about the history of the foundation, how to join, what all facilities they operate, fielded phone calls from the listeners and talked about the memorial day parade in Beaver.

Debbie Sample, Berkshire Hathaway, talks Make a Wish Yard Sale on Teleforum

Debbie Sample, Manager /Associate Broker of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services was a guest on Teleforum with Frank Sparks on Tuesday May 16,2017.  Debbie joined Frank and guest co-host Diane Brosius to talk about the upcoming Make a Wish Yard Sale June 2 and 3 at the Berkshire Hathaway office 877 Corporation Street in Beaver.  Debbie told Frank and Diane of the many items that have been donated and that they are still in need of donations for the sale. This will be the 21 st year that Berkshire Hathaway, fomerly the Prudential Preferred Reality and the Garvin Agency, have held the yard sale. Berkshire Hathaway has contributed to 21 children receiving their wish through the foundation. Last year the yard sale raised over 9 Thousand Dollars. Pirates Ticket Winner Announced!!!!

Paul Buday was the winner of a four pack of tickets to the Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals game for Wednesday night May 17,2017. Beaver County Radio asked trivia questions on air to register listeners throughout last week and anyone who spun the Personality Prize Wheel at Senior Day at the mall and landed on the Pirates Logo was also registered to win.  Tune into WBVP and WMBA for your chance to win tickets all season long. 2017 Bridgewater Arts Festival Broadcast

It was a beautiful and many people attended the second annual Bridgewater Arts Festival . Frank Sparks and Greg Benedetti anchored the live broadcast from Twelve noon until 2 p.m. on WBVP AND WMBA during Solid Gold Saturday with Bob Fry. Susan Boser, Penn State Extension on Teleforum !!!

Susan Boser, Water Resources Educator for the Penn State Extension in Beaver, appeared on Teleforum with Frank Sparks this morning, May 9, 2017. Frank and Susan discussed the growing population of Mosquito in our area and the ever popular West Nile virus. Susan explained what the mosquito traps look like that are placed in areas throughout the county to capture mosquito so they may be tested for West Nile. Once it is determined that an area is infected by possible West Nile they then spray that area. Susan also discussed and demonstrated products to assist in repelling mosquito around your house. Susan is displaying one of the products in her picture above. Susan took phone calls and answered many questions that were asked by our listeners. Winner’s announced for Peter Pan-Dancing Thru Neverland Give Away

WBVP and WMBA in cooperation with Lincoln Park  Performing Arts  Center registered listeners to win a Family 4 pack of tickets to see Peter Pan Dancing thru Neverland this weekend. This is the final weekend of the show at Lincoln Park. The listeners called in answers to Peter Pan Trivia to register on both A.M. Beaver County and Teleforum on Friday May5, 2017. Pat Septak then announced the four winners of the tickets on the entertainment portion of the Noonday report. We would like to thank everyone who joined in on the fun of the contest.
