Pick of the Litter live on Teleforum today!!

Mike Romigh, Sponsorship/Events/Social Media Manager of the Beaver County Humane Society was back in the studio today on Telefourm with Frank Sparks. Mike Romigh was the former host of Teleforum before Frank and left to join the Humane Society earlier this year. Mike and Frank participated in a first on Beaver County Radio by doing a segment of Pick of the Litter Live today. While the guys were talking about the Humane Society and highlighting Eenie, Meenie, Miney and Mo, four fourteen week old Tabby Kittens, Matt Drzik host of A.M. Beaver County streamed the segment on Facebook Live. Mike said the Humane society has a very high population of cats right now and they are holding a summer adoption special on cats. Paula Johnston Talked about Generation Marketplace on Teleforum Today!!

Paula Johnston owner of Generations in Beaver stopped by Teleforum with Frank Sparks this morning to talk about The Generations Marketplace that takes place on Saturday’s at the Big Knob Grange on  Big Knob Road in New Sewickley  Township. Generations Marketplace will be going on for two more weeks this year and she hopes to expand it next year.  Paula said this weekend is Christmas in July at the Marketplace. There will be vendors that will be selling Christmas items such as trees ornaments and all types of decorations. One vendor will be selling trains and train sets. There will also be Christmas cookies and other great food cooked by the ladies at the grange for sale. There will also be a great selection of other vendors there selling tools, car parts, collectibles and of course antiques. The Generations Marketplace is open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. this Saturday. Beaver County Radio is celebrating 1000 of our friends liking our Facebook page in a big way!!! During Teleforum tomorrow, July 20, 017. A special edition of Notes on Entertainment ,brought to you by Wooley Bully’s in New Brighton, with Scotty Tady, Entertainment Editor for the Beaver County Times, and Frank Sparks will be presented at 11 a.m. . Scott and Frank have a special show planned for the one hour special editon.  A preview of a few of the guests are David Granati of the famed Granati Brothers and G-Force, also local country star Dawn Savage will join us in studio at 11:35 a.m, our 1000 Fan on Facebook will also be in studio  and Jay Wooley owner of Wooley Bully’s will also be in and he will be bringing us lunch. This week Scott and Frank will be talking about the free Shakespeare in the Park performance at Brady’s Run Park; The Deutschtown Music Festival in Pittsburgh. This festival will have over 200 bands including 7 from Beaver County.

They will also be talking about the Friday performance of Corey Feldman at the Hard Rock Cafe and making a guest appearance on this weeks show to talk about the band is “Jim Morrison” from The Next DoorsThey are performing at Wooley Bullys this Saturday July 15th. Winners of River City Brass Concert Tickets Announced!!!!!

Beaver County Radio WBVP and WMBA in Cooperation with Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center gave away two four packs of tickets to the River City Brass Concert being held tomorrow night, July 1, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. on the Main Stage Theater at Lincoln Park. The theme of the performance is an American Salute . Listeners were registered by answering trivia questions on Thursday June 29 and Friday June 30, 2017. The two winners were picked out of a hat and announced on the Entertainment portion of the noonday report with Pat Septak. Congratulations to Ernie De Chillis from Monaca and Tom Greuner from Patterson Twp for being picked as the winners.  Stay tuned to WBVP and WMBA for the next contest and you can be a winner just like Ernie and Tom.

Commission Chairwoman of Beaver County Sandie Egley on Teleforum

Beaver County Chairwoman Sandie Egley stopped by Teleforum with Frank Sparks on Thursday June 29, 2017. Sandie and Frank highlighted a Women’s Roundtable Luncheon  that was presented by the Engineer’s Society of Western PA and the Women’s Transportation Seminar.  Sandie, Gina Cerilli, Board Chair of Westmoreland County, and Leslie Osche, Board Chair of Butler County were on the panel and fielded questions from the attendees on a variety of topics. Sandie and Frank also discussed the growing popularity of women in politics and the impact in todays society.
