On Thursday December 14, 2017 Frank Sparks, host of Teleforum and Scott Tady, Entertainment Editor for the Beaver County Times hosted a special two hour Notes on Local Entertainment Christmas Sound Stage Broadcast. The program featured The Sidewinder Band and Beaver County Radios News Director Pat Septak performing a set list of Christmas songs together and they each performed a set list of Christmas songs on their own. Two Shot on Penn State-Beaver Campus!!

Two people were shot on the Penn State-Beaver campus Wednesday afternoon, according to Beaver County 911 dispatchers. Penn State issued an alert on social media that shots were fired near Brodhead Bistro. Authorities on the scene contained the situation.

It was reported by the Beaver County Times that the campus was put on lock down and  a staging area near Beaver Valley Mall was being set up.

The coroner has been called to the scene of a shooting. It’s being reported that calls first came in as shots fired at the cafeteria at Penn State Beaver campus in the Student Union Building. Two people were reported down.

Rochester Community Carol Sing and Light Up Night Broadcast, December 3, 2017

Beaver County Radio did a live broadcast on Sunday December 3,  2017 from the 1st Annual Rochester Community Carol Sing and Light up Night from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.. Beaver County Radio’s Frank Sparks and Ed Hermick joined attendees from all over Western Pennsylvania who came out to celebrate the Holiday Season. The Beaver High School Color Guard presented the colors to get the event started followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. Santa Claus then arrived via a fire truck since there is no snow for his sleigh.  Santa also brought one of his elves. There was a live reading of the Night Before Christmas that was broadcast live on Beaver County Radio airways. The Beaver Valley Choral Society then sung live and a replay of the performance will be played during the Beaver County Radio’s presentation of Christmas Music around the clock on Christmas Day.  That was all followed by a Chorus Concert by the Rochester Kindergarten Students and the whole night finished with a lighting of the lights . Bob Nelson on Teleforum explaining Open enrollment time.

Bob Nelson from The Robert Nelson Agency was on Teleforum with Frank Sparks on Monday November 27, 2017. Bob told the listeners that it is now open enrollment time for both Medicare and the Affordable Care Act. 2017 Beaver Falls Christmas Lighted Parade

The 2017 Beaver Falls Lighted Christmas Parade was held on Saturday November 25, 2017. It was a beautiful unseasonably warm night that brought Beaver County residents out in droves to enjoy one the Largest and most excitable Christmas Parade’s to ever be held in Beaver Falls. Frank Sparks and Gary Miller co-hosted the broadcast of the parade live on Beaver County Radio 1230 WBVP and1460 WMBA .  Check out pictures of all the fun below…..

Special Edition of Notes on Local Entertainment Friday November 24, 2017 at 11am

Friday morning November 28, 2017 Beaver County Radio 1230 WBVP and 1460 WMBA will present a special edition of  Notes on Local Entertainment with Scott Tady, Entertainment Editor for the Beaver County Times and Frank Sparks. The special Black Friday Edition will air at 11 am featuring local artist Drew Pinchotti as the special guest. Drew will be performing live on the air. His appearance is to promote his appearance at an all acoustic show at Woolley Bully’s on Friday night. Tomorrow’s broadcast will also be featured on Facebook live. Rosalind Candy Castle in New Brighton Pa is the Huntington Business Spotlight for November 2017 on Beaver County Radio. Mike Crudden, Vice President of Operations for Rosalind Candy Castle and Tom Nist Senior Vice President of Huntington Bank joined Frank Sparks on Teleforum Thursday November 16, 2017. Mike told the listeners all about Rosalind’s and how they have been the premier candy maker in Beaver County for over 100 Years. Mike answered questions from the listeners and also received compliments on how good the candy is. One caller even said “Your Candy is Yummy”. Rosalind Candy Castle is a family owned and run business that is celebrating 103 years making candy. Mike told everyone about the candy making process and talked about how Rosalind has adjusted to our world today. Frank tried to get Mike to at least give away some of the secrets and he was denied.
