2018 Rochester Carol Sing!!! Great Songs,Fun and of course Santa!!!!!

(Rochester, Pa.) The 2018 Edition of the Rochester Carol Sing and Light Up Night on Sunday December 2, 2018  was a huge success.  This was the second year of the annual event and it was bigger and better than ever. The event started at 2:30 pm and continued until the culmination of the lighting of the lights at 6:00 pm in the Rochester Area School District main lobby.

Frank Sparks and Ed Hermick did a live broadcast from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm in the main lobby. Sparks and Hermick interviewed many of the dignitaries in attendance but the man of the hour was none other than Santa Claus.  Hermick asked Santa if he was on the nice list and Santa said I can’t tell you. Mr. Hermick must of been naughty this year. The line was long to sit on Santa’s lap and have that last minute opportunity to tell Santa how good you have been or to let him know about that special item they wished for. After sitting on Santa’s lap everyone got to enjoy cookies and punch or hot chocolate. There were also stations for face painting and craft making. You could also write a letter to Santa to remind him of your wish and you could send a card to our deployed troops for free courtesy of Wes Hill and the Rochester VFW.  There was music for everyone to enjoy and a live performance of the Night Before Christmas. The Beaver Valley Choral Association performed many of the Christmas Classics.
