Beaver County Radio play by play man and Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame announcer Tom Hays will join Eddy Crow on Teleforum at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday morning on 1230 WBVP, 1460 WMBA, 99.3 FM and beavercountyradio.com to talk about his 40 year career announcing local high school sports games. Hays started broadcasting in the early 80’s at WMBA and then made the move to Beaver County Radio in the late 1980’s.
(Beaver County, PA) Just when local residents potentially need help the most, Aliquippa Giant Eagle and Beaver County Radio have partnered together on an initiative to giveaway five $100 gift certificates as part of the “Holiday Helper” promotion. Listen for a chance to call in and register over the next two weeks. Three $100 gift certificates to Aliquippa Giant Eagle will be given away on Friday December 11 and two more will be awarded and announced on Friday, December 18. Winners will be selected from all those who register for the contest. Winners will receive their certificates via the mail. The idea was the brain child of Beaver County Radio and Aliquippa Giant Eagle, who decided that the residents of Beaver County definitely could use a little good news, and maybe a little help around the holidays.

Following a report in a local newspaper about several videos that were uploaded to his personal Snapchat account and later sent to other media sources, State Representative Aaron Bernstine made a statement about those videos and their content on Rappin’ With The Reps to host Eddy Crow.
“I was wrong and took things too far when joking with my son and his friends over July 4th weekend, there’s no doubt about that,” said Bernstine. “They were private videos sent directly to friends…someone who I thought was a friend took those videos and sent them to the media, and I apologize. I apologize to my family, I apologize to the constituents, and I’ll do better moving forward.”
The videos showed, among other things, Bernstine inviting his son to smoke a cigar and the use of several profane phrases. The Snapchat account has since been deleted.
Bernstine has been the Representative for District 10 since 2016, and is currently running as incumbent versus Democrat Kolbe Cole of Beaver Falls and United Party member Jonathan Peffer of Franklin Township.
