BREAKING NEWS!!! Kevin to make announcement tomorrow morning !!

Local racing legend Kevin Bolland will be on Beaver County Radio at 9:45 a.m. Saturday June 10, 2017 To make a major announcement about his racing plans for the remainder of the season. This is your exclusive place to get the word straight from Kevin.  Other guests on car cruise Saturday include the ABA commissioners and Beaver Falls legend Bob Middleman.  During the lead lap with Frank Sparks the car cruise guys will be by to tell you everything you want to know about the cruise. South Side Girls fall in W.P.I.A.L. 2A Softball Final

The South side Lady Rams lost 2 to 0 in the W.P.I.A.L 2A Softball Final to Frazier. The Lady Rams will now move onto the state play-offs next week. WBVP and WMBA play by Announcer  Bob Barrickman and color commentator Bruce Frey called all the action  for Beaver County Radio.

 

WPIAL AA Baseball Championship: California 3, Freedom 1 (F/10)

The Freedom Bulldogs and California Trojans were locked in a pitchers’ duel through 9 innings (7 + 2 extra in high school baseball), but in the top of the 10th the Trojan bats finally arose to score two runs. Freedom could not answer in the bottom half of the third extra frame, and California wins the WPIAL AA Baseball Championship.

The Bulldogs will now enter the PIAA Playoffs as the #2 seed out of the WPIAL, and they will play the District 6 Championship in Round One.

ALXN Basketball League Holds Inaugural Games In New Brighton

A.B.A. Basketball Executives Joe Kirchner, Sean Keaton and Scott Alaksin

The ALXN Basketball Association (ABA) held its inaugural tripleheader of games at the some of competed in 3 games in the league formed by Scott Alaksin. Beaver County Radio brought the action live with Bob Barrickman and Tom Hays on the call.
