Trib Total Media announced Monday September 18, 2017  it has reached an agreement with Management Science Associates, Inc. to purchase the MSA Sports Network.

MSA Sports Network has been in recent news for it’s financial troubles to the point this falls football broadcasts were in question at one point. MSA Sports Network was able to secure enough funds to at least get the season off to a start.

Under the agreement, which is expected to close in October 2017, the network will be renamed the TribLIVE High School Sports Network. The MSA Network currently broadcasts more than 2,000 live sporting events each year including 15 WPIAL and PIAA sports from across 10 counties. The network also owns the rights to all WPIAL playoff and championship games. WBVP and WMBA High School broadcasts can be heard on the MSA Sports Network and will continue to be heard upon the launch of the new TribLIVE High school Sports Network.
