The Penguins were victorious once again on Thursday night, defeating the Senators 3-1 at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.
Neither team scored in the first, but Patric Hornqvist tallied with 5 minutes to go in the second, and with 9 seconds to go in the frame, Jake Guentzel notched his 6th of the season and what proved to be the game-winner. Billy Sheehan picked up his first goal in a Pittsburgh uniform to seal it with 31 seconds left in the game.
Matt Murray only stopped 21 shots on the night, but an early robbery of Mike Hoffman in the 1st was a key play that kept the game scoreless. After the game, Murray had some thoughts about that save:

Pittsburgh (11-7-3) now returns to the PPG Paints Arena on Saturday night to face the Chicago Blackhawks. Pregame is at 6:30 on Beaver County Radio, and puck drop is at 7:00.
The Pittsburgh Steelers were victorious for the second time in 5 days, this time leaving little doubt in a 40-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans at Heinz Field on Thursday night.

The Steelers improve to 8-2 on the year, making it the 12th time in 12 years that Mike Tomlin has coached a team to 8 wins or higher in a season.
Pittsburgh’s next game will be a home match with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, November 26 at 8:30pm.

The Riverside Panthers are headed to the 2A Semifinals in the WPIAL High School Football Playoffs, and they will be playing the Steel Valley Ironmen at 7:30 on the campus of North Hills.
But before they did that, they joined the Beaver County Radio Sports crew for some wings and talk on last night’s Coaches Corner. Coach Ron Sciarro was the guest of honor, and he spoke about what his team’s plan for dealing with the defending state champions would be:
This is the fourth meeting in the last two seasons between the Panthers and Ironmen, with Steel Valley winning the prior three. The last meeting was a 48-28 loss for Riverside back in Week 1.
