Ann Reinbeau (1942-2025)

Ann Reinbeau, 82, formerly of Baden, passed away on April 27th, 2025 in the Wexford Healthcare Center. She was born in Pittsburgh on May 19th, 1942, the daughter of the late Earl and Adele (Samanski) Kramer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth D. Reinbeau and her brother, Vaughn Kramer of Norfolk, Virginia. She is survived by her son, Kenneth E. (Jacob Hagofsky) Reinbeau of Baden, her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Lynn (Thomas) Canil of Myrtle Beach, her stepdaughter, Ada Henderson of Moon Township, two grandchildren, Brooke McKenzie & Max Canil of Myrtle Beach, her step grandchildren, Amy Staff of Moon Township and David (Agnes) Henderson of Economy and five step great-grandchildren.

Ann obtained her diploma of nursing from the Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing, where she then worked as a RN for 42 years doing what she loved on the maternity floor. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and collecting Christmas ornaments and decorations.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 30th, from 6-8 P.M., in the John Syka Funeral Home Inc., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where a funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 1st, at 10 A.M.  Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, 273 PA-68, Rochester.

Donald E. Fortune (1944-2025)

Donald E. Fortune, 80, of Ambridge, passed away on April 26th, 2025, at Beaver Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Rochester on August 17th, 1944, a son of the late Arthur Fortune and Jacqueline Haddock McCaskey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Cermak and five brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Alice A. (Cermak) Fortune, three sons, Richard (Wendy) Fortune, Dale Fortune and John Cermak, two daughters, Deborah (Rick) Todd and Norma Todd, four sisters, seventeen grandchildren and twenty-one grandchildren.  Donald was a water tender at J & L Steel for many years who enjoyed spending time with his family.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 29th from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. in the CORLESS-MATTER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LLC, 1133 Church Street, Ambridge, where a service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery, 1690 Ridge Road Extension, Ambridge.

Donald “Don” A. Felo (1942-2025)

Donald “Don” A. Felo, 82, of Economy, passed away peacefully on April 26th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 19th, 1942, the son of the late Andrew and Clara Felo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan (Kennedy) Felo, his son, Daniel Felo, his brother, Robert Felo, his twin sisters, Barbara and Rose Green and his grandson, Joshua Singleton. He is survived by his children, Dawn (Butch) Singleton, David Felo, and Douglas Felo, his brother-in-law, David Kennedy, his grandson, Eric Felo and his cherished furry companions, Haze, Hailey, and Holly. Donald worked as an engineer for Conrail Railways and Metro North Railways until his retirement. He loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and working on his Pontiac Fiero. He was a devoted Pittsburgh sports fan who most treasured the time he spent with his family. In accordance with Donald’s wishes, all services will be private. John Romano (1936-2025)

John T. Romano, 88, of Chippewa Township, passed away on April 24th, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born in Beaver Falls on July 7th, 1936, the son of the late John R. and Elvira Sebastian Romano. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Laura Emma Goehring Romano and two sons, William J. Romano and John Romano Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Crystal (James R.) Presto, his daughter-in-law, Debbie Romano, his sister, Carolyn Romano Hewko, his brother-in-law, Henry Goehring, his four grandchildren: Jeremy (Trisha) Presto, Tahra Presto, Sarah Romano and Jennifer Romano; along with seven great-grandchildren, his niece, Lynn and his nephew, John.

John was a jack of all trades who enjoyed tinkering with cars and motorcycles and he loved locks and keys. He worked for B&W and Koppel Steel for over 40 years. He enjoyed gardening and flying his plane after he obtained his pilot’s license. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. George Vukelic (1939-2025)

George Vukelic, 85, of Beaver, formerly of Mount Pocono and Freehold, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2025, from complications due to a courageous battle with a rare and aggressive type of dementia. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on September 12th, 1939, the only beloved son of the late Mele & Dorothy (Ribar) Vukelic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Tedesco) Vukelic and two brothers-in-law, William Yeager and Edward Magditch. He is survived by three sisters, Helena Yeager, Dianne Magditch and Millicent Vukelic, his nieces, Georgia Badamo and Valerie Falk, his nephew, Mitchell Yeager and several great nieces & great nephews.

George grew up in Ambridge and was a graduate of Long Island University at Brooklyn School of Pharmacy, the oldest pharmacy school in the United States. He was retired from Rite Aid, having spent his entire pharmacy career working for them. He also served in the U.S. Army. He had such a love of travel, music, and all sports. In his youth, he was a terrific ball player. There was no public visitation. A private service and interment will be held on Monday, April 28th in the Economy Cemetery, 1690 Ridge Road Extension, Ambridge. Arrangements have been entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge.

Donald Lee Whippo (1946-2025)

Donald Lee Whippo, 79, of New Sewickley Township, passed away on April 24th, 2025 in his home. He was born on January 29th, 1946, a son of the late Emmerson and Irene Whippo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Whippo and 4 brothers and sisters: Chuck Whippo, Cindy Lebasik, Judy Reeher and John Whippo. He is survived by a daughter, Charlene Murray, three grandchildren, Robert & Robyn Murray, Corey Betz (Ashley Donaldson) and Rachel Bethune, a sister, Donna & Marty Benko and five great grandchildren: Sean, Cassie, and Hugh Murray, and Brooklynn and Paxton Donaldson.

Donald worked at Mayer-China as well as Phoenix Glass and finally retired from the Pittsburgh Airport Authority as a custodian. He was a lifetime member of the Rochester Turners and was on their bowling team. He was happiest when he was outside. He enjoyed camping, cutting grass and gardening.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, April 28th, from 5-8 p.m. in Unionville United Methodist Church, 1297 PA-68, Rochester. Please bring a dish to share. Arrangements have been entrusted to the branch of Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Lil M. Schreiner (1926-2025)

Lil M. Schreiner, 99, of Beaver Falls, passed away on April 24th, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospice of Wexford. She was born in Freedom on April 20th, 1926, a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan (Matlock) Schreiner. In addition to her parents, Lil was preceded in death by a son, Robert James “Bobby” Haffey, her brothers: Joseph, Harvey, Bill, Oliver, Edward, Frank and Charlie Schreiner; as well as her sisters, Anna Shee and Elizabeth Ruckert. She is survived by her children: Sue (Charlie) Herdt, John Haffey, Donald (Janalee) Haffey, and Angel Lynn Britton; along with her grandchildren: Chelsea (Matt) Herdt-Dawson, Courtney Herdt, Michele (Phil) Herdt, Lyndsey (Bryce Reich) Haffey, Alaina Haffey, Justin McKenzie, Michael Berry, Caitlin Ortiz, and Kelly Blanton-Haffey; as well as nine great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, especially those near and dear to her heart like Peggy (Frank) Johnson and Chucky Ruckert.

Lil grew up on a farm which developed her hard work ethic and love for the outdoors. She nurtured her friendships with the same care and passion she poured into her garden, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth. She was a woman of strong faith, who found solace and strength in reading the Bible and was a member of the Beaver Valley Wesleyan Methodist Church. She loved animals (especially her dogs), listening to her police scanner and spending quality time with her family. Lil was a woman who truly mastered the art of loving and living. She loved well and was well loved.  Friends will be received Monday, April 28th from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. and Tuesday, April 29th from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M. at CORLESS-KUNSELMAN FUNERAL SERVICES, LLC, 3801 4th Avenue, Beaver Falls with Pastor Tim Forrider officiating. Vincent Paul Townley (1962-2025)

Vincent Paul Townley, 62, of New Brighton, passed away at home on April 24th, 2025, with his wife and children by his side. He was born on July 30th, 1962 in Grove City, a son of the late LaVerne (Buck) and Rita Townley. In addition to his parents, Vince was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Edward Townley and his sister, Rebecca Townley. He is survived by his wife, Tina Townley, his children, Matthew (Laura) Glover, Andrew Glover and Anna Townley, his grandchildren, Lee and Elle Glover and his siblings: Robert, Barbara, John, Mark, and David.

Vincent graduated from Grove City and then continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh Jonhstown. He began his journalism career as a sports editor for Allied News, his hometown weekly newspaper. He later took on a similar role at the East Liverpool Review, where he managed coverage for ten area high schools. Before joining The Beaver County Times as sports editor, he spent nearly two decades working with Gateway Newspapers and its parent company, Trib-Total Media. During this time, he played a key role in coordinating news and sports coverage, including leading the Coraopolis-Moon Record. He received many accolades for his writing throughout his career. Most recently, Vincent was employed at ConnectiveRX in Robinson Township, where he served as a Claims Specialist.

In his free time, he enjoyed cheering on Pittsburgh sports teams with his friends at his favorite spot, the Corner Grill. He served several years as the Corner’s Fantasy Football Commissioner and was the winner of this year’s league.

Vincent married his wife, Tina Townley, in May of 1996. He fully embraced Tina’s sons, Matthew and Andrew and raised them as his own. His highlight as a dad was the adoption of his daughter, Anna Townley, who brought immense joy and happiness into his life. The visits from his grandchildren Lee and Elle provided their “Pap” endless joy and comfort.

In addition to his own family, Vincent and Tina fostered over 120 children over the past 28 years through Beaver County Children and Youth Services, providing care and stability to children in need.

Friends will be received on Sunday, April 27th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the J& J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 28th at St. Cecilia Church, 632 Virginia Avenue at 10 a.m. with Brother John Harvey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Vincent’s name.

David P. Rosinsky (1950-2025)

David P. Rosinsky, 75, of Leetsdale, passed away peacefully at home on April 23rd, 2025. He was born on March 7th, 1950, the beloved son of the late Joseph J. and Mary Rosinsky.

He is survived by his nephews, Terry Rosinsky and Ronald Rosinsky Jr., his dear friend and pastor, David Odrey and his many friends and extended family at Leetsdale Manor Highrise.

David was a proud graduate of Ambridge High School who furthered his education at Penn State University and the Computer Systems Institute. He spent his career at PNC Bank, where he worked as a computer operator until his retirement.

David had a lifelong love for poetry and was widely recognized for his talent. He was an award-winning poet, honored as Poet of the Year in both 1999 and 2000. He was also a member of the American Poet Society, the Famous Poets Society, and the International Society of Poetry.

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, creativity, and the joy he brought to those around him. David’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Nancy J. Sullivan (Passed on April 21st, 2025)

Nancy J. Sullivan, 68, passed away unexpectedly on April 21st, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital. She was born in Rochester, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Raymond W. and Sara ‘Sally’ L. (Elmer) Sullivan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ray, her brother-in-law, Brian and two infant sisters, Mary Elizabeth and Maria. Nancy’s kind spirit will be missed by her surviving family members. She is survived by her sisters, Janet L. Shumaker and Carol Babyak, her brother, Dr. David J. (Lorie) Sullivan, her sister-in-law, Angela Sullivan and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Nancy spent her life surrounded by the love of her family and the caring community of Allegheny Valley Schools, where she was not only a resident but a treasured friend to many. The staff at the school became a second family to her, providing care that went far beyond their duties. Their fantastic support allowed Nancy to thrive and enjoy life to the fullest.

Nancy found happiness in participating in the school’s community outings and workshop activities. Nancy’s eyes would light up at the mention of snacks and treats.

A private family blessing service was held for Nancy with burial in St John the Baptist Cemetery, 1270 Chapel Road, Monaca. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to Allegheny Valley School. The family is extremely grateful for all the love and care given to Nancy throughout her years.
