James “Jim” Laszczynski, 82, of Ohioville passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 at Heritage Valley, Sewickley surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 10, 1942, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Sylvester and Gertrude (Wozniak) Laszczynski. Jim was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement he was an IT Programmer and attended St. Blaise Church.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife Joann D. Laszczynski in 2019.
He will be greatly missed by his two daughters, Renee (Chuck) Saly, Scott Twp., Sharon (Keith Kraus) Laszczynski, College Hill; grandchildren, Brianna (Jon) Mullen, Center Twp., Todd, Jr. (Melinda Mowad) Kolodziej, Monaca; and great grandchildren, Ryleigh & Jay Spratt, Noah Mullen, Scarlett and Penelope Kolodziej; brother Russ, Laszczynski, Pittsburgh; nephew, Russell Paul Laszczynski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 10:30, at St. Blaise Catholic Church, 772 Ohio Ave. Midland, PA 15059. Interment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery graveside with full military honors. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

Gregory W. McWilliams (Died – July 23, 2024)
Gregory W. McWilliams, 78 of Center Township passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Pittsburgh was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lucy (Fabian) McWilliams.
Greg is survived by his devoted wife, Jacque Lynn Galas McWilliams, and his children, Shannon (Shawn Maughan), Kerry, Greg, and Corie McWilliams. His step-children Nicole Snyder, Mindy (Josh) Chiappetta, and Jeremy (Emily) Snyder, as well as his grandchildren Brendan, Gavin, Ella, Elijah, Madi, Mason, Landon, Paisley and Peyton will remember him as a loving and playful grandfather. Greg also leaves his brother, Mark (Pam) McWilliams, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
After honorably serving in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he demonstrated bravery and a deep love for his country, Greg was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Medal, and Rifle Sharpshooter Qualification Badge. His patriotism was unwavering, and he carried the values of the Corps throughout his life.
Following his military service, Greg dedicated over 26 years to the Pittsburgh Port Authority as a bus driver.
Greg’s passion for life was evident in his hobbies and interests. He was an avid golfer, enjoying many rounds and the camaraderie of his friends from the Port Authority on the greens. His love for the open road was fulfilled by riding his Harley Davidson, a pastime that brought him immense joy, and led him to participate in Bike Week at Myrtle Beach for several years.
As we bid farewell to Gregory W. McWilliams, we celebrate a life marked by dedication and service.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 26th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca (724 728 4000) and on Saturday, July 27th at the Aliquippa Christian Assembly Church, 166 W. Shaffer Road, Center Township from 10 am until the time of services at 11 AM. with Pastor Jack Robison, officiating.

Born to the late Arthur and Dolores Fisher, she is survived by her husband, Jay Besong, her children Winter Mason (Byron), Shanie Besong (Jacob), Heather (Steve) Painter, and her grandchildren Carter, Chance, Cash, Aba, Emerson, Stephen, Vincent, Lorenzo, with another grandchild on the way, as well as those she loved. Gloria Jean (Bobrick) Cecchetti, 76, of Tarentum, PA passed away on July 23, 2024, in Kane Community Living Center, Scott Twp. She was born on September 23, 1947, the daughter of the late William & Mary (Gaydos) Bobrick.
Gloria is survived by her four children, Joel Cecchetti (Leonor) Houston, Texas; Nicole Cecchetti, Richard Cecchetti Houston, Texas; Leslie Kuzma (Doug), Robinson Twp.
She leaves behind five grandchildren: Adora, Zachary, Isabella, Ivana & Alina. Gloria is survived by her sister Elaine Flinn as well as two nephews Matt Flinn & Jeremy Flinn: along with one niece Dina Flinn.
Gloria loved her family and friends. There wasn’t anything she would not do for you if she knew she could help. Much of her career was working at USAir. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends. Gloria was a faithful woman as she knew going home to the Lord gave her comfort and peace.
A blessing service will take place on Friday, July 26th at 2PM in the Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) Louis H. “Bub” Young III July 7, 1960 ~ July 21, 2024
Louis H. Young III, 64, of New Brighton, formerly of White Twp. passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
Bub was born on July 7, 1960 in New Brighton to Louis H. Young Jr. of White Twp. and the late Judith Kay (Hershberger) Young. Bub was the owner of Young’s Pest Control.
In addition to his mother, Bub was preceded in death by a son, Louis Young IV.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a daughter, Chelsy Young Granddaughter Ka’Mya Young both of Boardman, OH a son, Jason Bailey, Rochester; Grandson’s Bricyn and Carson Young along with their mother Mehgan Miller (Louis H. Young IV) Josh and Jeff Barley, that were like sons to Bub, and their mother, Diane Barley.

John R. “Jack” Church July 23, 1928 – July 22, 2024
John “Jack” R. Church Jr., of Beaver Falls, PA. (Chippewa), passed away on July 22, 2024. He was the son of the late John R. Church Sr. and Miniva Tomlinson Church. He was born July 23, 1928, in Riverside, California.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict aboard aircraft carriers as an airplane mechanic which led to his career. He was with Mohawk Airlines for many years in Ithaca and Utica, New York. Jack moved to the Pittsburgh area to work for Allegheny Airlines and was a jet engine inspector for USAir retiring in 1993. He enjoyed going to the family camp for fishing on Lake Ontario in Henderson Harbor, N.Y. He also enjoyed playing golf in his younger days and tinkering on projects in his garage.
Survivors are his wife Carolyn Schulz Church who he married in 1956, a daughter Karen L. Church of Chippewa, a son John R. (Nancy) Church III of Delanson, N.Y., and two grandchildren Kyleigh (Jared) Cleghorn of Alexandria, VA, and Brett Church of Delanson, NY.
Visitation will be at Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 10:30 AM until time of services at 2:00 PM. Burial will be private at a later date.

Mary Kay Gorius (November 15, 1954 ~ July 21, 2024)
Mary Kay Gorius, 69, of Ambridge, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Myrtle Gorius. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Gorius, siblings, Joe Gorius, Kenny Gorius, Loretta Gorius, George Gorius, and Rose Buffington. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Gorius and fiancé Craig Fadley, brother, Ronnie Gorius, daughter-in-law, Melody Gorius, grandchildren, Brionna, Brooklyn, Makayla, Gracie, James, Brennan, Devin, Alivia, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary Kay found immense joy in baking, particularly crafting her renowned chocolate chip cookies. She was also passionate about card games and dedicatedly followed soap operas, with General Hospital being her favorite. Above all, Mary Kay’s greatest happiness stemmed from her cherished grandchildren, who brought boundless love and meaning to her life. Deborah L. Tress (October 10, 1961 – July 21, 2024)
Deborah L. Tress, 62, of Chippewa, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.
Born October 10, 1961 in New Brighton, she was a daughter of the late T. Joseph and Elsie M. Gill. Deborah was a retired piano teacher and belonged to the National Guild of Piano Teachers. She was a member of St. Monica Church, St. Augustine Parish, where she pioneered the Martha Ministry, providing meals to families in need. A devout Catholic, Debbie found great solace in the sacraments and held certain devotions close to her heart, specifically Our Lady of Fatima, her daily rosary, and a longstanding commitment to Eucharistic adoration.
Debbie will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 36 years, Timothy W. Tress; son, Brian W. Tress, Westerville, OH; daughter, Melissa (Adam) Bair, Westerville, OH; brother, T. Allan (Diane) Gill, Chippewa; sister, Lynda (Ed) Upton, Deland, FL; and cherished grandchildren, Lucy, Anna, Hazel, Ian and her 5th grandchild baby Josie, whose birth she was eagerly awaiting.

Alvin Mature, 94, of Beaver, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024 at Villa St. Joseph.
Born on November 19, 1929, in Buffalo, New York, Alvin was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and United States Army. He was a member of numerous organizations, and had many hobbies.
Alvin is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Frost Mature (2015).
He is survived by his cousin, Theone Oblamski; as well as numerous friends, and neighbors.
