Charlotte F. Fausti (1932-2025)

Charlotte F. Fausti, 93, of Conway, passed away peacefully on August 6th, 2025. She was born on January 1st, 1932, a daughter of the late Maurice Brown and Charlotte Whinery and was lovingly raised by her late stepfather, Clarence Whinery. In addition to her parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wallace C. Fausti, her brother, Maurice Brown Jr., her sister-in-law, Gerry Brown and his son-in-law, Dave Conroy. She is survived by her children, Christopher Fausti, Terry (Sheryl) Fausti and Jacqueline Conroy, her sister, Margaret Whinery, her grandchildren, David Conroy, Laura Fausti and Douglas (Stephanie) Fausti and her great-grandchildren, Bradley Conroy, Aubrey Fausti and Olivia Fausti.

Charlotte worked at Stangl’s Bakery in Ambridge before joining Bell Telephone as a phone operator. She was a devoted member of the former Our Lady of Peace Church in Beaver County. She was also active in the Christian Mothers group. She shared a close friendship with a group of seven dear friends, with whom she regularly played pinochle, bunco and bingo. Charlotte also enjoyed bowling and cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

Carolyn Romano Hewko (1940-2025)

Carolyn Romano Hewko, 85, passed away unexpectedly on August 2nd, 2025 at her home. She was born in Beaver Falls on May 1st, 1940, the daughter of the late John R. and Elvira Sebastian Romano. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John T. Romano, her sister-in-law, Laura Goerhing Romano, her dear son-in-law, Paul D. Susich, and her nephews, William J. Romano and John Romano, Jr. She is survived by a daughter, Lynn M. (Dave) Caffro, a son, Johnny Hewko, a granddaughter, Megan (Steven) Hewko-Ward, a grandson, William Hewko, three great-grandchildren and a loving niece, Crystal Romano Presto.

Carolyn graduated from Beaver Falls High School and Geneva College. She was a dedicated teacher at Beaver Area High School for over 35 years, who was beloved by students and faculty alike. Her loss will be deeply felt by those she touched during her long career.

Carolyn was an excellent cook. Her red clam sauce was beyond compare and always a favorite at the Christmas Eve dinner table. She enjoyed teaching, traveling, dancing, and watching both Jeopardy and CSI. She was also an 80s disco queen, a stunning beauty who was outspoken to a fault and was indeed a special lady. Her presence will be missed by many.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 11th from 3-7 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, who was in charge of her arrangements. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 10 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Church, Beaver, 200 Third Street, Beaver. Carolyn will be laid to rest at Beaver Falls Cemetery.

Gloria A. Botte (1931-2025)

Gloria A. Botte, 94, of Industry, formerly of Koppel, passed away surrounded by her family’s love and under the care of her hospice nurse, Amanda, the early morning of August 4th, 2025.

She was born in Koppel on March 18th, 1931 in Koppel, a daughter of the late Ann Percic. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul S. Botte, her son, Paul J. Botte, her sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Ron Reeher and her longtime companion, Richard Wanner. She is survived by her son, Michael (Jodi) Botte, her brother, John (Kathy) Percic, her daughter-in-law, Diane Golnik Wilk, her grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Laveing, Paul Botte, and Teya Botte, her great-grandchildren: Jonathan (Abbey) McGeary, Justin Laveing, and Jocelyn Laveing (Matt) Veon, Ethan Botte, Devin Botte; along with her great-great-grandchildren, Jase Laveing, and Alexis, Allison and Jameson McGeary, as well as countless nieces and nephews.

Gloria was a resident of Industry most of her life, Gloria worked as a special education paraprofessional with McGuire Home and New Horizon School. In her spare time, she could be found in nature, especially walking at Brady’s Run Park. She also enjoyed winning at pinochle, having dessert after every meal, especially sfogliatella, line dancing, antiquing, feeling the sun on her face and listening to the wind. She will be remembered by her family as the consummate caregiver. She was also Catholic by faith.

Friends will be received Saturday, August 9th, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, who was in charge of her arrangements. Gerald “Jerry” Mark Florence (1957-2025)

Gerald “Jerry” Mark Florence, 67, of New Brighton, passed away on August 2nd, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Rochester on December 6th, 1957, in Rochester, a son of the late Edward Florence and Joanne Rose. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Florence. He is survived by his children, Jerry Brown, Justin Brown and Brian Taylor, six grandchildren, his brother, Eddie (Kelly) Florence, two nephews, Scott (Maela) Florence and Eddie (Alexis) Florence, five great nephews, one great niece and a special friend, Jessica, as well as many friends and relatives.

Gerald was a graduate of New Brighton High School. He enjoyed fishing, golf, gardening, and watching sports. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who was friendly with everyone. His memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life ceremony for Gerald will be held on Saturday, August 9th at 10 a.m., at Lifeway Christian Fellowship, 1207 7th Avenue, Beaver Falls, with Pastor Kevin Lee officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton.

Anne M. Bidwell (1970-2025)

Anne M. Bidwell, 55, of New Brighton, passed away at home on August 5th, 2025.

She was born in Crewe, Virginia on July 25th, 1970, a daughter of Jimmie Leonard and the late Linda Leonard. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Ryan C. Leonard. In addiiton to her father, she is survived by her spouse, Regina Bidwellfather, her siblings, Gene Leonard (Mary), Ronnie Leonard (Katherine) and Rachel Loveday (Josh), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anne found joy and peace near the water, whether walking along the shore or swimming in the ocean. Above all, she was a loving mother whose care and compassion shaped the lives of those lucky enough to call her family. She had a remarkable talent for crafting, building and making countless beautiful things by hand from intricate quilts to thoughtful projects that blended both utility and art. She leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance and creativity. She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for how she made others feel as seen, supported and deeply loved. She worked for Merakey Allegheny Valley School for over 25 years. She will be missed more than words can express.

Maryellen “Meg” Murphy (1948-2025)

Maryellen “Meg” Murphy, 77, of New Castle, passed away on August 4th, 2025, at Quality Life Services of New Castle. She was born in Pittsburgh on March 7th, 1948, the daughter of the late Aloysius Murphy and Cecilia (McGrail) Murphy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two of her children, Elizabeth Anne Baldauf and Christopher Jason Baldauf. She is survived by her son, Richard R. (Kathy Ann) Baldauf III, her brother, Michael W. Murphy; nephew, Michael G. (Kristen), and their children, Kale and Kyla, her niece, Keegan (Justin) Gwin and their children, Kaelin, Jaci, and Keltin, her cousins: Eileen Prince, Sr. Patricia Prince, Mary Ann Prince, Carole Prince; as well as many McGrail cousins.

Maryellen was a resident of Franciscan Manor of Beaver Falls since retiring from Kane Hospital after many years. She was a dedicated mother to her children, and a courageous single parent at a time when it was uncommon. In lieu of services, per Maryellen’s wishes and her family’s wishes, have a nip of whiskey, hug someone who loves you, and say a prayer. She would also strongly suggest to everyone: take care of your mental health, because if you don’t, who will? John Parker “Harv” Harvey (1946-2025)

John Parker “Harv” Harvey, 79, of New Swickley Township, passed away on August 2nd, 2025.

John was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on March 25th, 1946. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph, his mother, Agnes, and his sister, Janet Harvey. John is survived by his beloved daughters, Wanda “Tweet” and her husband, Jaime Bailey, and Lori Harvey, both of New Sewickley Township, his grandchildren, Austin Bailey, Lauren (Cole Johnston) Bailey, Taylor (Dylan Goodrich) DiMarzio and two great-grandchildren, Leiya and Jackson Johnston.

He is survived by his brother, Dorest “Cork” Harvey and his wife, Linda of Omaha, Nebraska, as well as his nephews, Brian and Kevin Harvey. He leaves behind a large extended family and countless cherished friends who were like family to him.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother and loved his family tremendously. John was a quiet man who used his words for good and the spread of kindness. He was a proud U.S. Marine who served in Vietnam from 1968-1969 that loved his country. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who cherished the freedom of the open road and the camaraderie found in various motorcycle runs. He spent part of his time as a true snowbird who enjoyed the coastal life in Myrtle Beach, a place he came to love deeply. His friendships meant the world to him and he was known for the deep love he had for those he called family.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, August 8th, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the William Murphy Funeral Home Inc, 349 Adams Street Rochester, who was in charge of his arrangements and where a service will be held the following morning, Saturday, August 8th at 10 a.m. Officiating the service will be Pastors Ed Bailey and Austin Bailey from Family Bible Church. Full military honors will be provided by the Vietnam Veterans of America, chapter 862. Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park and Cemetery, 273 PA-68, Rochester.

He will very much be missed by his family and friends and he was beloved beyond imagination. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Vietnam Veterans of America chapter 862, 408 7th Avenue, Conway, PA 15027.

Herbert D. Parrish (Passed on August 5th, 2025)

Herbert D. Parrish, 65, formerly of New Sewickley Township, passed away on August 5th, 2025, at his residence in Freedom.

He was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Parrish and Ruth Parrish and he was one of eight children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Danny (Barb) Parrish, Gary (Rose) Parrish, and Linda Heath. He is survived by his devoted wife, Victoria Fleck Parrish, whom he married on February 20th, 1999.

He is survived by his beloved children: Jessica Parrish and her daughter, Maddie Parrish, his son, Matthew Parrish, along with Matthew’s children, Xavier Sommerer, Noah Parrish and Alora Parrish and his daughter, Emily Parrish (married to Brandon) and their son, Levi Parrish. His life was further enriched by his brothers, Alvin Parrish and Roy (Ellen) Parrish, his sisters, Joni VanScoy and Joyce Parrish and his brother-in-law, David Heath. He is also survived by two very special lifelong friends, Michael Adams and Thomas Witherow, whose friendship provided immeasurable joy throughout his life.

Herb was a self-employed carpenter who took pride in his business, Parrish Contracting. He was raised in Independence Township and his early life was filled with pleasures of the countryside. He had a lifelong love for fishing, which led him to the serene lakes of Canada, where he spent many contented hours. In his younger days, he found solace in the quiet of the woods during deer hunting season.

Herbert’s connection with his beloved red tick Beagle, Buster, was more than that of a pet and owner. Buster was a loyal companion whose memory he cherished long after his passing.

Friends will be received on Saturday, August 9th from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, who was in charge of his arrangements and where services will be held on Sunday, August 10th at 1 P.M. with Tawan Merriweather officiating.

Teresa Ann Stobart (Passed on August 2nd, 2025)

Teresa Ann Stobart, 67, of Industry, passed away on August 2nd, 2025. She was a loving mother to her son, James Tyler Word of Brookline, Massachusetts, and her daughter, Ariel Victoria Sullivan (Zach) of Copley, Ohio. Her role as a grandmother to Evalise, Ollie, and Sloane was one she cherished. She is also survived by a longtime companion, Scott Wilson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Margaret Stobart.

Following her graduation from Center Area High School, Teresa pursued her passion for healthcare by enrolling in an X-ray tech institute. Her caring nature found its true calling when she became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Her commitment to serving others led her to enlist in the U.S. Navy. From 1982 until 1985, Teresa honorably served her country, an experience that instilled in her a sense of pride and patriotism that remained a cornerstone of her identity. She was an avid gardener who found peace and solace in nature and her faith was a source of strength and pride. It guided her through life’s challenges and was a wellspring of hope and love. She enjoyed expressing herself through painting and drawing and her love for swimming was an important pillar of her life.

Private interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpson Funeral and Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.

Sandra S. Rylott (1950-2025)

Sandra S. Rylott, 75, of Titusville, passed away on August 2nd, 2025, at Titusville Hospital. She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on March 28th, 1950, a daughter of the late Virgil C. Wise and Lucille Clarice Pitts Wise. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Rylott III, her companion of 20 years, William J. Bamberger, Jr., his brother, Richard V. Wise and two brothers-in-law, Timothy Small and Dave Tanner. He is survived by two children, whom she gave her whole life to, Kelley Renee Rylott and Lance Alworth Rylott, three sisters, Donna Small, Jane Tanner and Anna (Robert) Hamilton and many nieces and nephews.

Sandra’s journey led her to a fulfilling career as a Postal Worker, where she served her community until her retirement in 2009. Yet, her passion was not confined to her work. She was an avid bowler and a fierce sports enthusiast, whose love for competition was only matched by her love for game shows. Beyond her hobbies, Sandra was a devoted traveler, and she loved to spend time with her chosen grandchildren. Sandra was devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ. She prayed every night for her family & anyone she knew that was in need. In accordance with Sandra’s wishes, all services were private.
