(Harrisburg, PA) According to a release today in Harrisburg from Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday’s office, Sunday announced charges against a Pittsburgh man who used an online chat platform to attempt to solicit sexual contact with a pre-teenage girl. Fifty-seven-year-old Eric T. Gillespie received four felony charges as well as multiple counts of unlawful contact with a minor and he was denied bail by a magisterial district judge at arraignment, after this judge cited public safety concerns and flight risk. Gillespie tried to make attempts to arrange a meeting with a Lebanon County pre-teenage girl after he engaged in a conversation with an Office of Attorney General agent posed as an adult in an online chat platform often utilized by offenders attempting to arrange meetings with children. Gillespie alluded to methods he accessed children during the investigation and other evidence was found regarding contact with children. The Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office assisted the Office of Attorney General in this investigation. The investigation into this incident is ongoing and anyone with information they feel law enforcement should be aware of can call the Office of Attorney General and ask for Agent Roby after calling their phone number of 800-385-1044.

(New Sewickley Township, PA) Pennsylvania State Police in Gibsonia reported via release today that thirty-three-year-old Alyssa Ramstine of Beaver Falls had charges withdrawn by police after she caused a single-vehicle crash in New Sewickley Township on Friday evening. At 3:05 p.m., Ramstine was driving on I-76 East and lost control of her vehicle, causing it to cross over into the right lane, the southern shoulder, the grassy area and finally, into a ditch. Ramstine related that she was not injured and no injuries were observed.

(Moon Township, PA) An unidentified person in Pennsylvania won $870,000 from a Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket from yesterday’s drawing by buying it at the Uni-Mart located on Fern Hollow Road in Moon Township. That store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling this winning ticket. The ticket matched all five numbers to win, which were 1, 20, 25, 38 and 40. More than 13,300 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets won prizes in the same drawing in addition to the $870,000 jackpot winner.

(Greene Township, PA) Pennsylvania State Police in Beaver reported via release today that twenty-nine-year-old Marianna Manfredi of Hookstown was charged by police for disobeying her duties at a stop sign on Saturday, which caused a two-vehicle crash in Greene Township that evening. Manfredi was driving north on Silver Slipper Road at its intersection with Lincoln Highway at 4:31 p.m. and crashed into the vehicle of thirty-three-year-old Karley Vickodil of Aliquippa. Manfredi, who was going north, did not yield to Vickodil after stopping at the stop sign and hit the vehicle of Vickodil, who went west on Route 30. Disabling damage was caused to the vehicle of Vickodil. Both of drivers involved in this crash had suspected minor injuries, but Vickodil was the only one who wanted to be transported, and she went to the Beaver Valley Medical Center.

(Beaver, PA) The Beaver Volunteer Fire Department and their first alarm went to a house in Beaver at around 8 a.m. this morning because of a caller that reported a fire in the roof of it. This incident occurred at an address in the area of 4th Street and Market Street. Assistance from three local fire departments, Medic Rescue Ambulance Service and Beaver Borough Police Department helped the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department and their first alarm extinguish this fire and the units returned to their posts at around 9 a.m.

(Center Township, PA) Pennsylvania State Police in Beaver reported via release today that a two-vehicle crash occurred on Thursday evening in Center Township. Forty-four-year-old Louis Klinsky of Beaver Falls and fifty-three-year-old Shalena Lindsey of Beaver were both driving on I-376 West near exit ramp 42 at 7:12 p.m. and then Klinsky hit a deer that was on the roadway with his vehicle and this made his vehicle disabled. After Klinsky stepped out of his vehicle because of smoke in its cabin, his vehicle coasted backwards down the hill traveling east in the westbound lane into traffic that was oncoming and it hit the vehicle of Lindsey in the left lane, which caused minor damage to Lindsey’s vehicle. Klinsky was transported to Beaver Valley Medical Center for a suspected serious injury.

(Washington, D.C.) According to a release from Senator John Fetterman’s office, Fetterman (D-PA) voted with 59 of his Senate colleagues in Washington D.C. yesterday to break the filibuster and advance H.R.5371, the Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act. The following statement was also recently released by Fetterman: 

“After 40 days as a consistent voice against shutting our government down, I voted YES for the 15th time to REOPEN. I’m sorry to our military, SNAP recipients, gov workers, and Capitol Police who haven’t been paid in weeks. It should’ve never come to this. This was a failure.”

(Pittsburgh, PA) A man was taken to a hospital in stable condition after he was stabbed in the rear in the Spring Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh late on Saturday night. According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, just after 11 p.m. that night, police were called to Rhine Place for reports of a fight.An early investigation shows that the male victim and a woman were arguing with another man in their apartment buildingover the noise levels there andthat led to a physical altercation which continued into a residence. The woman pulled out a gun and threatened the man who was not hurt and another woman stabbed the man in the rear. The woman who pulled the gun out was taken into custody and is in the Allegheny County Jail. More charges are expected and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
