This week Scott and Frank will be talking about the free Shakespeare in the Park performance at Brady’s Run Park; The Deutschtown Music Festival in Pittsburgh. This festival will have over 200 bands including 7 from Beaver County.

They will also be talking about the Friday performance of Corey Feldman at the Hard Rock Cafe and making a guest appearance on this weeks show to talk about the band is “Jim Morrison” from The Next DoorsThey are performing at Wooley Bullys this Saturday July 15th. So tune in to WBVP and WMBA this Thursday with Frank Sparks and Scott Tady.

 

Enon Valley Community Day on July 15th

Tune in to Beaver County radio on July 13th from 8:40-9:00 AM for a live interview with Hap Wichryk here at WBVP & WMBA.  He’ll be talking about the Enon Valley Community Day this year!  The theme of the parade is “A Salute to Veterans”.  This event is sponsored by the Enon Valley Historical Society and Lawrence County Tourism Association.  The day starts off 7-11 AM  with breakfast followed by the parade at 10 AM, music all day long from the Bluegrass Festival and Dj Sully.  At 10 PM, there will be an exciting fireworks display to end the night. That’s the 41st Annual Enon Valley Community Day.

Woman hit and Killed by friend in West Mayfield

A woman accidentally killed her friend as she was backing down a driveway Friday afternoon, police said.  The accident was reported shortly after noon in the 3800 block of High Street Extension in West Mayfield. Police said a 79-year-old woman was backing down her driveway when she ran over and killed her friend, a 69-year-old woman who was visiting . It’s reported the victim was walking down the driveway to get the mail when the accident happened.

Police said the driver did not know she had run over her friend. The Beaver County coroner had not released the victim’s name as of Friday evening pending notification of her family.  Stay tuned to WBVP and WMBA for more updates.

 

Heads Of Parking Meters Ordered Removed In Beaver Falls

YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED THAT THE PARKING METERS ALONG 7TH AVENUE IN BEAVER FALLS ARE HALF MISSING. THAT’S BECAUSE CHIEF DELUCCA MADE THE CALL TO REMOVE THE HEADS OF THE METERS BECAUSE THE PLASTIC BAGS KEPT COMING OFF AND PEOPLE BEGAN FEEDING THE METERS THEIR COINS. THE CITY OF BEAVER FALLS IS IN THE MIDDLE OF AN EXPERIMENT TO SEE HOW THE ELIMINATION OF THE METERS WOULD AFFECT LOCAL BUSINESSES IN THE CITY. CHIEF DELUCCA SAYS THE “FREE PARKING” PHASE WILL CONTINUE UNTIL AT LEAST THE END OF THE SUMMER.
