Beaver Borough Council Disapproves Of Beer Sales in ‘Dry Town’

Beaver Borough Council has voted to disapprove of beer sales at a waffle restaurant located in the borough’s business district. Three weeks ago, the owners of Waffles INCaffeinated began offering beer from Beaver Brewing Company for sale three nights a week. It was the first time in nearly 82 years that beer has been allowed to be sold in the town. But last night, the resolution passed 8 to 1, meaning the council disapproved of the sale of beer by Beaver Brewing Co. and Waffles INCafienated. Beaver Brewing owner Dan Woodske tells Beaver County Radio newsman Pat Septak that he was surprised by the vote and doesn’t know why council voted it down. But he says last night’s vote doesn’t change anything since he still plans to sell beer in Beaver.
