Conor Sheary scored with 2:53 left in the third period — the Pittsburgh Penguins’ third power-play goal — in a 4-3 victory against the Florida Panthers at BB&T Center on Friday.
Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby also scored power-play goals, and Carter Rowney scored for Pittsburgh (5-2-1). Phil Kessel had two assists, and Matt Murray made 28 saves. Pittsburgh trailed 2-0 in the second period but scored three goals to take a 3-2 lead. The Panthers then tied it up at three in the third before Sheary’s heroics gave the Pens the victory. The Pens are now 5-2-1 with 11 points one point behind the Devils for first place in the Metropolitan Divison. The Panthers are now 2-4-0 with 4 points in the Atlantic Division.
The Pens play another of their 19 back to back games this season at the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.
Penguins were 3-for-4 on the power play, the second time this season they scored three power-play goals.

It was another great night for high school football. Rochester scored first, but it was a highly competitive game in the first half. Until the last play of the game Rochester scored to go up by two scores. Union never recovered nor did they score in the second half. There were a lot of outstanding players for both teams but the players of the game were Michael Flowers for Union and Caleb Collin for Rochester. The final was 47-14 Rochester.

BREAKING NEWS: Fire crews were called to a home for a fire in Daugherty Township this morning. The fire broke out after 11:30 a.m. at a structure at a home on Jody Drive. Officials say flames were seen engulfing the building. No word any injuries in the blaze. This breaking news report brought to you by…

Police are investigating an accident involving a box truck in Darlington. Police said it happened in the 3600 block of Constitution Boulevard in Darlington just after 11 a.m. Investigators say the driver of the box truck went through the guide rail and the truck rolled onto its side. Officials on the scene say some diesel fuel spilled from the truck, but the spill was contained before leaked into a nearby creek. Crews plan to drain the tanks before they right the truck. Police have not yet released details on what caused the crash or if there are any injuries.

One of Beaver Counties most prominent and popular businessman Bill Camp has died. Mr. Camp was 81 years old and was a 1954 Graduate of Beaver Falls High School and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Bill and his Brother Jim opened Fast & Friendly Food Store in Beaver Falls in the 1960’s which grew into a chain of Convenience Stores throughout Beaver County. Bill then purchased the Giant Eagle in the old GEE BEE’s plaza in the 80’s and then built Rochester Giant Eagle in the downstairs of the former Kaufmann’s Department store in the late 1980’s and built a second location in Chippewa in the 1990’s. Bill was very visual in the community and loved helping others whether he knew you or not. Bill played a very key role in the Tony Dorsett Mc Guire Memorial golf outing along with so many other charities that he supported throughout our community. Camp Sold his Grocery stores in the early 2000’s to spend more time with his family. He is survived by his wife and 5 children. Bill’s son Chris is the current owner of Fun For All in Cranberry. A viewing for Bill will be held today at the Devlin Funeral Home in Cranberry. Bill Camp will be laid to rest on Saturday morning.
