The Good Samaritan Parish Festival Returns To Ambridge On Labor Day Weekend

For over 20 years, the Good Samaritan Parish in Ambridge has brought out county residents of all ages and backgrounds to engage in a festival of food, fellowship, and entertainment. This year’s event takes place on Labor Day Weekend, and will feature many musical acts including Jimmie Ross and The Jaggerz as well as Casanova.

Rose Filipponi and Leah Lesak from the Parish Festival Committee joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver county to discuss who’s all on stage, who makes it happen, when the events take place, and of course…what’s on the menu.

Reason Why This Morning’s County Commissioners’ Work Session Was Canceled Has Been Revealed

We now know why this morning’s County Commissioners Work Session has been canceled. It’s all because of a scheduling conflict. Commissioners chairwoman Sandie Egley posted on Facebook yesterday that this morning is also the third quarter Regional Investors Council Summit. It’s hosted by the Allegheny Conference. The next work session will be held a week from today – Wednesday, September 6th, at the courthouse.

Opening Night At The 75th Big Knob Fair!

The Big Knob Grange, located in New Sewickley Township, opened its gates once again for the annual week-long Big Knob Fair, now in its 75th year. Tuesday night kicked off the event with a parade featuring the Freedom Area High School Marching Band, and then the fair was officially underway.

Beaver County Radio was there once again this year, and Matt Drzik and Ed Hermick were keeping the Personality Prize Wheel going all night until the moon came out.
