New Emergency Operations Plan Approved For Hopewell Township

Hopewell Twp. Board of Commissioners last night adopted a resolution  approving   Hopewell Township’s Emergency Operations Plan  for minimization of injury and damage in the event of a major emergency or disaster.  Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano reports that a home destroyed by fire last year will be demolished, according to township code and zoning officer John Bates.  Bates also told the commissioners addresses must be on all all structures in the township according to ordinance 96-12.   the zoning officer addressed the issue of trash and recyclables being put out too early.  Tight fitting lids  must be on all containers for pickup, no earlier than 12 hours before, he said. Police  Chief Brian Uhrmacher told the commissioners that his department was invited to Margaret Ross and Hopewell Elementary Schools for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day held recently. Commissioner’s chairman Rich Bufalini reminds residents to check the township website for updates .He added the planning commission will meet on Thursday March 16.

The Joe Walsh Show is now Airing on WBVP and WMBA

Joe Walsh, former U.S. Republican Congressman and Chicago based talk-show host, debuted his “The Joe Walsh Show” last night February 27, 2017 on the Salem Radio Network. The show airs on both WBVP and WMBA from 9 PM to Midnight on weekdays.

Walsh joins the SRN from WIND-AM 560 The Answer where he hosts a local show from 5 PM to 7 PM.  Each weekday you can reach Walsh directly during “The Joe Walsh Show” at 312-642-5600.

Jim Shaner from Beaver County Conservation District to Be on Teleforum Tuesday

Jim will be discussing the up coming Maple Sugaring Program on March 11,2017 at The Bradys Run Park, Maple Camp (behind the Lodge). Rochester-Based Lincoln Learning Solutions Announces New VP of Sales

Lincoln Learning Solutions has a new Vice-President this morning. The non-profit organization recently announced its board of trustees unanimously approved the appointment of Brad Neugart to serve as its Vice-President of Sales. Neugart brings with him 25 years of experience in the field. He has already landed two new clients, schools from Louisiana and Michigan. Neugart tells Beaver County Radio newsman Pat Septak that the organization’s standards-based Empowered curriculum is an easy sell. Aliquippa Diversity Council Holding Big Bash Tonight In Anticipation Of Women’s History Month

A wing bash is being sponsored by Aliquippa Diversity Council tonight at the American Italian Club 1928 Irwin St.  Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano reports that the event is from 6-10 p.m. The cost is $20. This event will benefit a Women’s Empowerment Dinner during Women’s History Month, according to Catherine Colallela, president.   Diversity Council wants to  have a program in place in the community for girls age 12-18. Female role models that can make a difference displaying power and success to be an influence on the girls can participate. Ms. Colalella said girls 12-16 need role models because they are growing up so fast. Tickets for tonight’s event can be purchased at the door.
