4-Month-Old Baby Hospitalized With Bleeding to Brain, Other Injuries; Beaver Falls Father Arrested

A Beaver Falls father is in jail, accused of shaking his baby so violently the infant’s brain started to bleed. The 4-month-old baby boy is at UPMC Children’s Hospital being treated for severe injuries. Police were called to the Morado Dwellings Housing Complex in Beaver Falls on Nov. 21 for a child having seizures. But when police questioned the father, 24-year-old John Crawford admitted he had thrown and shaken the infant because he wouldn’t stop crying.

Aliquippa Water Authority Working To Repair Water Main Break

The Aliquippa Water Authority is working to repair a major water main break.  According to Aliquippa police, the break occurred just before 11:00 this morning along Route 51 near the West Aliquippa Bridge. City police tell Beaver County Radio’s Pat Septak that the police department fielded numerous calls from residents regarding the break. The city’s water authority is working on the problem, which is said to be quite deep. No word on when the repairs are expected to be complete.
