Beaver County Coroner Looking For Help From The Public

THE BEAVER COUNTY CORONER IS LOOKING FOR HELP IN REGARDS TO AN UNCLAIMED BODY. 74-YEAR-OLD GRACE RISHELL DIED SUNDAY IN THE BEAVER VALLEY NURSING AND REHABILIATION CENTER IN SOUTH BEAVER TOWNSHIP. IT IS NOT KNOWN WHERE SHE WAS FROM ORIGINALLY. ANY RELATIVES OR ANYBODY WITH KNOWLEDGE ABOUT RISHELL IS ASKED TO CALL CORONER DAVID GABAUER AT (724) 498-2127.

Eastvale Dam Repairs Underway

The Beaver Falls Municipal Authority is working to make repairs at the Eastvale Dam on the Beaver River. A leak was found at the bottom of the dam last week. Officials say the leak is significant and repairs will be costly, but the situation poses no threat to the public.

Work Begins On Bridge At Brady’s Run Entrance

WORK HAS BEGUN TO REPLACE THE BRIDGE ENTERING BRADY’S RUN PARK FROM ROUTE 51 IN BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP. DRIVERS WANTING TO ACCESS THE PARK WILL BE DIRECTED TO FOLLOW A DETOUR ALONG PARK ROAD, DUTCH RIDGE, WILDWOOD ROAD AND ROUTE 51. CONSTRUCTION IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED IN EARLY JULY.

Ambridge Woman Overdoses; 4-year-old Girl Calls Police

A woman is facing charges after overdosing while caring for a four-year-old in Ambridge.  The child called 911 earlier this month to say she needed help.  When responders got to the 18th Street home, they found Allison Welling unresponsive.  She was revived with Narcan and charged after officers found heroin and a hypodermic needle within reach of the little girl.  Police say there have been previous overdose incidents in the residence.
