Police are increasing the reward offered for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted for an attempted homicide in New Castle. The New Castle City Police Department is now offering $3,000 for information that leads to the arrest of 32-year-old Jujuan “Mook” Jackson. Police say Jackson is wanted in connection to an attempted homicide that took place in 2015 and wanted for questioning in a homicide that took place this July. The fatal shooting took place on East Meyer Avenue in the North Hill neighborhood around 4 a.m. on July 7. 21-year-old Lloyd Johnson was fatally shot. A woman, who police say is Jackson’s ex-girlfriend, was injured. Police say Jackson should be considered armed and dangerous. No One Injured In Monday Morning Three-Vehicle Crash In Lawrence County
Three vehicles were involved in a crash after a tree fell onto Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township early this morning. The crash happened at the entrance to McConnells Mill State Park in Lawrence County. One of the vehicles involved was a large truck that lost 70 gallons of fuel. Two cars were also involved. No one was injured.
Hot Cars On A Hot Day in New Brighton
(New Brighton, PA) The streets heated up with some of the hottest cars in Beaver County and the 90 degree temperatures as well in New Brighton on Saturday as Beaver County radio broadcast live at the annual New Brighton Car Cruise. Frank Sparks and Ed Hermick delivered some “sizzling” descriptions live on the air of the vehicles on display on 3rd avenue in New Brighton.

Hundreds Visit Grand Opening of Beaver Falls Convenience Store

(Beaver Falls, PA) Huge crowds showed up at the grand opening of Sweet Pea’s Sub Works and Sunoco Gas in Beaver Falls for a grand opening celebration held on Saturday September 10, 2016. Beaver County Radio was there and broadcast live from 10 A.M. to Noon. Visitors were treated to free fountain drinks and coffee, hot dogs, nachos and sample size subs. There was also plenty of free door prizes and giveaways. Manager Eric Wroblewski commented that he expected over 1500 people to stop in throughout the day. The re opening of the landmark gas station and convenience store at the bottom of college hill in Beaver Falls was a very welcome addition to the Beaver Falls community as it had been without a gas station in town for over a year. The turn and support of local residents during Saturday’s promotion exemplified the enthusiasm and excitement that the local community has for it’s new convenience store and gas station.
Sweet Pea’s Sub Works and Sunoco gas is open 24 hours a day and features fresh made while you wait subs that feature locally grown produce.

New Brighton Company Awarded A 123-Thousand-Dollar Loan
A New Brighton company has been awarded a 123-thousand-dollar loan. The Standard Horse Nail company – located at 1415 Fifth Avenue in New Brighton – was awarded the loan from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority. State Rep. Jaret Gibbons tells Beaver County Radio newsman Pat Septak that the funds will help pay for renovations to a 25-thousand square-foot facility. He says not only will the money be used to help increase the operations, but he thinks the loan will also help spur economic development in Beaver County.

A CONTRACTOR BEGAN LEAK-DETECTION WORK IN BEAVER LAST NIGHT. BEAVER OFFICIALS SAY THE WORK BEGAN AT 10:00 LAST NIGHT AND INVOLVES TESTING FIRE HYDRANTS AND WATER VALVES. WORK IS EXPECTED TO FINISH SEPTEMBER 16TH.
Beaver Looking Into Renovating Its Municipal Building
THE BOROUGH OF BEAVER IS LOOKING INTO RENOVATIONS TO ITS EXISTING MUNICIPAL BUILDING NEXT YEAR. OFFICIALS ARE CONSIDERING PLANS TO EXTEND THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AT THE BACK OF THE BUILDING. COLUMBIA GAS WILL BE MOVING GAS LINES IN THE BOROUGH BY THE END OF THE MONTH. CREWS WILL ALSO BE TEARING UP THE ALLEY BETWEEN THE BOROUGH BUILDING AND WAFFLES INCAFFEINATED ON THIRD STREETS. THE ALLEY COULD BE CONVERTED INTO A PARKLET, WHICH WOULD OPEN UP OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL ARTISTS.
Authorities Investigating Car-Jacking At Pittsburgh International Airport
Authorities are investigating a reported car-jacking at the Pittsburgh International Airport early this morning. A supervisor with the Allegheny County emergency dispatch center said the incident was reported at 11:13 a.m. today. Allegheny County police responded to the incident. Police say that two men forced out occupants from a sport utility vehicle and that one of the suspects had a gun. No injuries were reported. Police are searching for the vehicle, a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe with Pennsylvania license plate of JLY-3519.

Police Seek Lawrence County Man Accused Of Threatening Woman While Impersonating State Trooper
State Police are looking for a Lawrence County man accused of threatening a woman several times while impersonating a state trooper. According to state police, a felony warrant has been issued for 40-year-old David Rowbotham of Wampum. Investigators say Rowbotham called the 36-year-old victim from New Castle several times, claiming to a state trooper and recording the calls without her permission. He allegedly told her there was a burglary warrant out for her arrest and threatened her. He is described as a white male, about 5-feet-8-inches tall, weighs 235 pounds, has a shaved head and green eyes. Anyone with information on Rowbotham’s whereabouts is asked to contact State Police in New Castle at (724) 598-2211.
