Prosecution Rests In Beaver Falls Homicide Trial

THE PROSECUTION HAS RESTED ITS CASE IN A BEAVER FALLS HOMICIDE TRIAL. 25-YEAR-OLD TYRONE “KUNTA” SAVAGE IS ON TRIAL FOR THE OCTOBER 2016 SHOOTING DEATH OF 25-YEAR-OLD JUSTIN SIMMONS. THE DEFENSE WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT EVIDENCE…AND CLOSING ARGUMENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BEGIN TODAY.

Police: Man Stealing From New Brighton Homes While Residents Still Inside

Police are looking for a man who is stealing from houses in New Brighton while people are still home. Surveillance photos released by the police department show the man fidgeting with the front door of one home as he tried to get inside. A large sum of money was taken from that home. Here is one of those photos. Anyone with information is asked to call the New Brighton Area Police Department at (724) 846-2270.

THAT DEPRESSION SUICIDE SEMINAR WILL BE HELD TOMORROW NIGHT – THAT’S TUESDAY NIGHT. IT’LL BEGIN AT 6:45 AND WILL LAST APPROXIMATELY THREE HOURS. IT’LL BE HELD AT SAINT MONICA’S PARISH HALL ON FORANDALE ROAD AT THE CORNER OF DARLINGTON ROAD IN CHIPPEWA.

Pens win third straight in dramatic fashion 4-3 over Florida

Conor Sheary scored with 2:53 left in the third period — the Pittsburgh Penguins’ third power-play goal — in a 4-3 victory against the Florida Panthers at BB&T Center on Friday.

Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby also scored power-play goals, and Carter Rowney scored for Pittsburgh (5-2-1). Phil Kessel had two assists, and Matt Murray made 28 saves. Pittsburgh trailed 2-0 in the second period but scored three goals to take a 3-2 lead. The Panthers then tied it up at three in the third before Sheary’s heroics gave the Pens the victory.  The Pens are now 5-2-1 with 11 points one point behind the Devils for first place in the Metropolitan Divison. The Panthers are now 2-4-0 with 4 points in the Atlantic Division.

The Pens play another of their 19  back to back games this season  at the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

Penguins were 3-for-4 on the power play, the second time this season they scored three power-play goals.

Rochester 47 vs. Union 14 Final

   

It was another great night for high school football. Rochester scored first, but it was a highly competitive game in the first half. Until the last play of the game Rochester scored to go up by two scores. Union never recovered nor did they score in the second half. There were a lot of outstanding players for both teams but the players of the game were Michael Flowers for Union and Caleb Collin for Rochester. The final was 47-14 Rochester.
