Kolbe Cole From Trails Ministries on Teleforum
Kolbe Cole from Trails Ministries in Beaver Falls stopped by on Teleforum with Frank Sparks today to talk about a various number of topics and activities concerning Trails Ministries.
This weekend Friday June 23 and Saturday June 24 Trails Ministries will be hosting the return of the Black History 101 Mobile Museum at its Hope Center at 918 Seventh Ave. in Beaver Falls Pa. The traveling exhibit of black memorabilia visited the city last July. The mobile classroom founded by Khalid el-Hakim of Detroit is a historic breath taking learning laboratory of more than 7,000 artifacts. El-Hakim, a teacher, started collecting while a student at Ferris State University and was inspired to create the mobile museum after attending 1995’s Million Man March in Washington, D.C., where Louis Farrakhan urged those attending to make a difference in their communities. The exhibit depicts black memorabilia spanning from to slavery to hip hop.
The hours of the exhibit are 3 to 9 p.m. Friday June 23 and from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday June 24. Museum curator Khalid el-Hakim will present a lecture for adults at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and one for youth at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Police: Heavy Rain Linked To Fatal Crash That Killed Ohioville Teen In Brighton Township
Police now say that heavy rain may have contributed to the crash in Brighton Township earlier this week that killed an Ohioville teenager. 16-year-old Kaiea Chandler was driving home from work early Monday morning when his car crashed into a tree in the 55-hundred block of Tuscarawas Road. After further investigation, police believe that a combination of the weather and the victim’s inexperience with driving was a factor in the crash. Chandler was a student at Western Beaver High School, where he played on the football team. The Western Beaver Football Cheerleader Parents Association has announced on Facebook that it is collecting donations for Chandler’s family.
Ohioville Teen Dies In One-Car Accident In Brighton Township
AN OHIOVILLE TEENAGER DIED IN A SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH EARLY MONDAY IN BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP. ACCORDING TO THE BEAVER COUNTY CORONER’S OFFICE, 16-YEAR-OLD KAIEA CHANDLER WAS KILLED IN THE CRASH, WHICH OCCURRED AT AROUND 1:30 A-M IN THE 55-HUNDRED BLOCK OF TUSCARAWAS ROAD. ACCORDING TO THE CORONER, THE CAUSE OF CHANDLER’S DEATH WAS BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA TO HIS NECK AND BODY.
