Police: Heavy Rain Linked To Fatal Crash That Killed Ohioville Teen In Brighton Township

Police now say that heavy rain may have contributed to the crash in Brighton Township earlier this week that killed an Ohioville teenager. 16-year-old Kaiea Chandler was driving home from work early Monday morning when his car crashed into a tree in the 55-hundred block of Tuscarawas Road. After further investigation, police believe that a combination of the weather and the victim’s inexperience with driving was a factor in the crash. Chandler was a student at Western Beaver High School, where he played on the football team. The Western Beaver Football Cheerleader Parents Association has announced on Facebook that it is collecting donations for Chandler’s family.
