Fire Near Harrisburg Kills Three

Authorities say a pregnant woman and her two young sons have been killed in a fast moving house fire near Harrisburg.
The fire broke out overnight at a home in Hamburg, about 55 miles northeast of Harrisburfg.
A man was able to escape from a bedroom window and was hospitalized with injuries.
Cause of the fire is under investigation.

President Trump Changing Immigration Policy

In what would be a major change in immigration policy, President Donald Trump is expected to announce Tuesday that he will end protection for young immigrants who were brought into the U-S illegally as children–but with a six month delay.

North Korea Remains Huge Problem

South Korea says the U-S military will soon install more missile defense launchers at at a site in southeastern South Korea to counter threats made by North Korea.
And in New York, the U-N security council is set to hold an emergency meeting today on North Korea, after a powerful nuclear test added another layer of urgency for diplomats wresting with what to do next.
Today’s meeting is the council’s second emergency session in a week over the North’s weapons programs.
North Korea claimed Sunday it detonated a hydrogen bomb underground.

One Remains Hospitalized from Shippingport Accident

Only one of the four injured at the Bruce Mansfield power plant accident in Shippingport is still hospitalized.
Three of the four have gone home.
Michael Gorchock of Pittsburgh remains in the hospital but reports indicates he is showing signs of improvement.
Two persons were killed last week in the industrial accident.

Local Effort Aiding Hurricane Victims

Beemac trucking company in Harmony Township is collecting supplies to send to Texas to help Hurricane Harvey victims.

Suggested supplies include baby food and formula, diapers and wipes, medical supplies, toiletries, snack food, pet food, hygiene and feminine products.
