AMERICAN rapper and Pittsburgh native Mac Miller has died at the young age of 26.

AMERICAN rapper and Pittsburgh native Mac Miller has died at the young age of 26.

Miller, whose real name is Malcolm James McCormack, has been very open about his substance abuse issues, died of an apparent overdose, according to law enforcement sources.

After a friend called 911 from Miller’s San Fernando Valley, California, home he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family said in a statement that Miller died Friday but gave no further details.

“He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans,” the statement said.

Hours before his death, Miller posted an Instagram story where a vinyl record is seen playing part of the lyrics from one of his songs titled “So it Goes”.

A Little wet weather didn’t Deter people from the 2018 New Brighton Car Cruise

(New Brighton Pa.) The 2018 New Brighton Car Cruise was held on Saturday  September 8, 2018. The cruise got under way at 8 a.m. and unfortunately mother nature didn’t corporate on this rainy Saturday. The weather may have deterred  some people but the hard core car cruise enthusiasts were out in full force. Frank Sparks and Ed Hermick were spinning out some great car cruise tunes as the Beaver County Radio Personality Prize Wheel was in full motion from 1-3 p.m..  Check out all of the photos of the fun below………

Beaver Falls 41 vs. Central Valley 7 Final on WBVP

Central Valley quarterback, Ameer Dudley, attempts to pass to Noah Thompson while Josh Hough (#2) provides defensive pressure for Beaver Falls in Friday night’s game.

In a Game heard on 1230 WBVP, it was a game that was dominated by the Fighting Tigers of Beaver Falls.  The tigers traveled to Sarge Albert Stadium in Center to take on the Warriors of Central Valley. Jumping out to a 14-0 lead Beaver Falls scored on the 1st play of their possession, but Central Valley scored and made it 14-7 Beaver Falls. The Tigers never looked back and dominated the second half and taking the game 41-7. Beaver Falls Takes on Quaker Valley next week and Central Valley dips out of conference and plays North Catholic.

Shooting Investigation Underway In New Castle

Police were called to the scene of a shooting late last night in Lawrence County.The shooting was reported around 10:30 on Beech Street in New Castle. Multiple evidence markers were placed in the area as investigators processed the scene. No word on the condition of the victim…and police have not yet identified any suspects.

Monaca Borough Decides To Do Away With Parking Meters

Parking meters will soon be a relic in Monaca. Borough officials say work will begin this month to remove meters from downtown, saying they didn’t collect enough money to cover operating costs. Borough Council is scheduled to vote soon on an ordinance that would make the downtown area a two-hour parking zone.

Beaver Falls Man Facing Charges After Attempting To Attack Man With Sword

A Beaver Falls man was charged with reckless endangerment and simple assault after he tried to attack a man with a sword. Beaver Falls police said they were called out around 11:20 a.m. Saturday to the Morado Dwellings apartments for a report of a male bleeding from the head after he was struck with a sword during an altercation. 58-year-old Damon Leon Bryant was arrested by police. The investigation is ongoing.
