A 21-year-old Robert Morris University student has been found dead. Police say the body of Jordan Willis was found in a wooded area of Moon Township around 2:30 p.m. Thursday. A 9-1-1 caller told police they were walking their dogs when they came upon Willis’s body. The cause and manner of his death is unknown. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

Three Hurt In Head-On Accident in East Rochester This Morning
Police and medics were called to the scene of a head-on crash in East Rochester this morning. It happened shortly before 11:00 on Route 65 right in front of the East Rochester Plaza. A medical helicopter was called to the scene. Beaver County Emergency Services dispatchers confirmed to Beaver County Radio’s Pat Septak that three people were injured in the crash and sent to area hospitals for treatment. The victims names and conditions have not been released. The roadway was partially closed for a while until crews cleared the scene. It is not clear at this time what caused the wreck.
Can What Happened With The Water In Flint, Michigan Happen Here In Beaver County?
Can the water disaster that happened in Flint, Michigan happen here? Al Goehring spoke with Jim Riggio of the Beaver Falls Municipal Authority on AM Beaver County this morning and asked him that very question. Riggio says that situation would never occur here because they have a system in place in which they are constantly monitoring and testing the water to ensure it’s safe for public consumption.
Impact Of Winter Storm On Beaver County Expected To Be Minimal
So what affect will the upcoming storm across the eastern part of the United States have on the local region? National Weather Service Meteorologist Mike Fries tells Beaver County Radio newsman Pat Septak that most likely Beaver County will dodge the bullet in this storm. The county is only expected to receive under an inch of snow accumulation overnight into Saturday.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the the Brewers posted an opening for a play-by-play announcer on their web site. The reason is their current play-by-play man Joe Block is a finalist for the same job with the Pirates. That job became available when Tim Neverett moved home to take the job with the Boston Red Soxs.
Colonials Win In Conneticut
The Robert Morris Colonials won their 5th Game of the season last night. They beat a struggling Connecticut State 59-45. State is 1-17. The Colonials were lead by Kavon Stewart and Elijah Minnie. the both scored 15 points. Robert Morris continues their New England road trip Saturday. They are visiting Bryant with a 4-pm tip off.

Rex Ryan adds one of former assistants from the New York Jets to his staff at Buffalo. Kathryn Smith has been on Ryan’s staff . She was an administrative assistant in 2015. Smith has 12 seasons of NFL experience starting in various positions with the Jets. Ryan first hired her as an assistant for the Jets in 2009.
Governor Wolf Declares State Of Emergency Throughout Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has declared a statewide state of emergency as the region prepares for the winter storm expected to blanket most of the state. The proclamation allows state and local authorities to respond to any unmet needs as quickly as possible. Wolf said in a press release – quote – “Declaring a state of emergency allows the commonwealth to deliver state resources wherever they’re needed as quickly as possible”. The storm is expected to impact much of the state.
Penguins, Capitals Scheduled To Play Sunday Despite Massive Forecasted Storm
The Penguins game scheduled for Sunday against the Washington Capitals at Verizon Center is currently still on, despite the massive storm expected to hit the East coast and potentially cripple the Washington D.C. area this weekend. The Capitals put out a statement this morning that said their games go on as scheduled, including Sunday’s 12:30 p.m. matinee against the Penguins. The Penguins, who host Vancouver at home on Saturday at 12:30, said they too will be keeping an eye on the situation.
Snow Storm On The Way
Road crews are already gearing up across southern Pennsylvania ahead of a potential winter storm that could dump as much as nearly a foot of snow south of Pittsburgh and 16 inches of snow by Sunday morning near Philadelphia. A National Weather Service forecaster says people should be prepared for strong winds with the snow.
