Patterson Twp. Man Accused Of Opening Fire In His Own Garage After Being Fired From Job

Patterson Township police say that a man opened fire in his own garage last night, with the neighboring house less than 100 feet away. When police arrived on the scene, Donald Klink ignored police orders, and an officer had to detain him. He claims he was mad about being fired from his job, decided to clean his gun, and then test fired to make sure it still worked correctly. Klink is charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, and is awaiting a preliminary hearing on June 11th.

PA Senator Daylin Leach Accused Of Troubling Behavior

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — The top Democratic of the Pennsylvania Senate says an investigation of sexual misconduct claims against Montgomery County state Sen. Daylin Leach found a “lengthy pattern of troubling behavior” and that he should resign. Leach, however, says he feels vindicated after getting to read a summary of the findings. Minority Leader Jay Costa says the report in no way absolves Leach and that his actions created an unprofessional and sexualized workplace environment that shouldn’t be tolerated.

Another Alligator Captured In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Animal control officers in Pittsburgh have captured an alligator. A person walking a dog spotted the 5-foot gator in the city’s Beechview neighborhood around 10 p.m. Thursday. Officers cornered it against a garage door before taping its jaws shut. It’s the second time in recent weeks that an alligator was found in Pittsburgh. A gator was pulled from the Monongahela River in May.

CAEN, France (AP) — The D-Day commemoration was an occasion for France to showcase its long friendship with the United States, but President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron acknowledged their divergences on key world issues at a meeting on the sidelines of the 75th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy that helped free Europe from Nazi occupation. Trump and Macron discussed all major issues they disagree on, including Iran, world trade and climate change.

R. Kelly Pleads Not Guilty to 11 More Sex-Related Charges

CHICAGO (AP) — Singer R. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to 11 additional sex-related felonies during a court hearing in Chicago. Prosecutors did not ask the judge to raise the bond amount for Kelly during Thursday’s hearing in Cook County court. Kelly stood and listened to the judge describe the charges in a gray suit, with his hands folded in front of him. When the judged asked if he understood, Kelly, responded, “Yes, sir.” Kelly didn’t speak to reporters after leaving court. He denies wrongdoing.
