Chippewa Township Police Part Of National ‘Click It Or Ticket’ Seat Belt Enforcement Initiative

THE CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS ANNOUNCED THAT IT IS PARTICIPATING IN A NATIONAL ‘CLICK IT OR TICKET’ SEAT BELT ENFORCEMENT INITIATIVE BEGINNING THIS WEEK AND CONTINUING THROUGH JUNE 2ND. THE GOAL IS TO REDUCE UNBELTED INJURIES AND DEATHS ON PENNSYLVANIA HIGHWAYS THROUGH COORDINATED ENFORCEMENT USING TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT ZONES AND ROVING PATROLS. CITATIONS WILL BE ISSUED TO MOTORISTS WHO ARE CAUGHT UNBUCKLED OR TRANSPORTING UNRESTRAINED CHILDREN. FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE VISIT PENNDOT.GOV/SAFETY.

Zelienople Man Killed, Woman Injured In Overnight North Shore Crash

A Zelienople man was killed and a woman injured in an overnight crash on the North Shore. Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle on the ramp to the Fort Duquesne Bridge from Allegheny Avenue. The crash occurred around 1:30 this morning. According to the Allegheny County medical examiner’s office, 30-year-old Joshua Wine of Zelienople was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman was injured and transported to a local hospital; her condition is not known. It’s not clear who was driving the vehicle. Area streets reopened around 5 a.m.

Mckeesport Man Ordered Held For Trial On Charges He Flushed Grandparents’ Ashes Down Toilet

MCKEESPORT, Pa. (AP) — A judge has ruled that a western Pennsylvania man must stand trial on charges he flushed his grandparents’ ashes down a toilet after his mother kicked him out of her home. Thomas Wells faces two counts of abuse of a corpse and a criminal mischief charge. McKeesport police say the Pittsburgh man had been staying with his mother for a brief time before she asked him to leave last September. She says a relative later told her what happened with the ashes. Wells has denied flushing the ashes.

Penn State-Beaver Professor On Administrative Leave For Alleged Attempted Kidnapping

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Authorities say a Penn State-Beaver professor working as an Uber driver has been charged with harassing and holding two women in his vehicle over the weekend. Pittsburgh police allege that Richard Lomotey was supposed to drive to Penn Hills but veered from the route. They say he pulled over and tried to lock the doors, but the women were able to escape. He’s charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment and harassment. Uber calls the alleged actions “unacceptable.”

(Beaver Falls, Pa.)  Pa State Police have issued an update on the missing Darlington Twp. Teen and his juvenile girlfriend.

State Police reported yesterday that  Decklin Oshop willingly left his home on Mother’s Day, May 12, 2019 around 8 p.m. and through investigation it appeared he is with his juvenile girlfriend headed in and unknown direction. Police believe that Oshop is operating a 2008 Silver Honda Civic. Oshop is a white male with brown hair and browns eyes. He is approximately 5′ 11″ and weighs 150 pounds. Oshop was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and white shoes.

Pa State Police in a press release stated that on Monday May 13, 2019 at approximately 9:00 p.m.  Oshop and his girlfriend were tracked to Nicholasville Kentucky. Oshop’s girlfriend was taken into custody by the Jessup County Sheriff’s Department and released into the custody of her Mother. Oshop fled in the 2008 Honda Civic prior to law enforcement’s arrival. He is believed to have switched the registration plate to an Ohio plate. The registration on the car at this time is unknown. Oshop is still considered missing and State Police are asking If anyone has information regarding Oshop they are asked to please contact the Pennsylvania State Police Beaver Barracks at 724-773-7400.

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) Pennsylvania State Police need your help in finding Decklin Oshop. Oshop is a 17 year-old Darlington resident who has been missing since 8:00 p.m. on Sunday May 12, 2019.

State Police report that Oshop willingly left his home and through investigation it appears he is with his juvenile girlfriend headed in and unknown direction.
