“Thru the Eyes of Sly Washington” Peters Twp vs. Moon Friday October 4, 2019

(Moon Twp.,Pa.) The Moon Tigers were fired up Friday night to  defend their home field and to give the high ranked Peters Twp. Indians their first section loss of the season. The Tigers were able to do just that in a hard-fought game defeating Peters Township 21-13. The Tiger’s tenacious defense was too much for the Indians high powered offense to handle as the Indians struggled to hold onto the ball, and slow down the Tiger’s offense.  The Tiger’s took an early 14-7 lead heading into the half without leaving any room for error. The Indians were trying to mount a comeback as they headed into the fourth quarter. Trailing 21-7 at the beginning of the fourth, their efforts were not enough as they inevitably fell to the Tigers 21-13. Peter’s Township  suffered their first defeat of the year and are now 6-1 over-all and 3-1 in the Allegheny Eight Confernce. The the victory the Tigers pull into a three way tie  at 3-1 in second place with the Indians and Upper St. Claire, the Tigers next opponent ,in the Allegheny Eigtht Conference.  Bethel Park is at the top of the conference at 4-0.
