(Beaver County, PA) Former Ellwood City police officer Robert Magnifico of Ellwood City pleaded guilty on December 18th, 2025 to a single summary charge of harassment, while five second-degree misdemeanor charges were withdrawn in the case. According to public court records, Magnifico appeared at a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Jerry G. Cartwright Jr. Five misdemeanor charges were withdrawn at that hearing, including two counts of official oppression and one count each of tampering with public records, unsworn falsification to authorities and simple assault and the summary charge of harassment was moved to a non-traffic case. Court documents show that Magnifico pleaded guilty to the summary charge of harassment and was fined $100. Magnifico was charged in October of 2025 by Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday regarding a June incident at a Sheetz store. Magnifico, then a sergeant with the Ellwood City Police Department, pushed a 19-year-old man, denied the man of his rights, then filed a report about the incident that was not an accurate version of what took place. On June 6th, 2025, the 19-year-old victim and a 16-year-old friend purchased food at the Sheetz store on 5th Street in Ellwood City. Realizing he forgot his phone, the 19-year-old called the store and was told he could return and retrieve the phone. At the store, staff did not return the phone to the victim and police were called. The victim provided information about the phone, including its passcode, but still did not receive the phone back. The victim, who was in a public area of the store, became verbally frustrated. Magnifico came from behind a counter and shoved the man to the ground and verbally berated him. The 16-year-old recorded the interaction on his phone. The 19-year-old asked for the officer’s badge number and name. Magnifico provided the information while walking towards the man and bumping into him in an intimidating manner. Magnifico then grabbed the 16-year-old’s phone and threw it onto a table. The two customers then left the store. The 19-year-old was treated at an area hospital. Magnifico is also the current Riverside Varsity Football Coach.

The reason for the closure is unknown, but the restaurant will be having a New Year’s Eve party that day as well with specials, giveaways of merchandise and more. If you have any gift cards for Jus1More Sports Bar and Grill, you should utilize them as soon as possible, because their services that are online will likely be turned off as they run through their remaining inventory.

(Pittsburgh, PA) According to authorities, police officers fired shots at a man who shot at a woman and her dog in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh on Friday. A news release from the Allegheny Couty Police Department confirms that Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers were called to the 4700 block of Centre Avenue for a reported assault around 4:15 p.m. and nobody was hit by the gunfire. When officers arrived, they found a man threatening a woman and her dog with a gun outside an apartment building at the scene. County police confirm after officers yelled at the man to drop his weapon, he fired “multiple” shots at the victim and the dog. Officers returned fire as the man tried to run away, and he was later taken into custody. A media release that county police issued on Saturday states that the suspect was later identified as 38-year-old Lamar Reddick. Reddick is now in the Allegheny County Jail pending preliminary arraignment, however; he is facing multiple charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated cruelty to animals, and aggravated assault. Pittsburgh Public Safety noted that per policy, Allegheny County police detectives are handling the investigation.

(Pittsburgh, PA) A man was critically injured after he was shot multiple times early yesterday morning in the Allentown neighborhood of Pittsburgh. According to Pittsburgh Police, officers from their Zone 3 were called to the area of Manton Way around 4:15 a.m. yesterday after receiving reports of a disturbance. Police confirm that when officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in both the head and in the abdomen. The man was taken to the hospital by medics in critical condition and police state that he was immediately taken into surgery. Police also note that detectives from the Violent Crime Unit are investigating this incident, and the bureau’s Mobile Crime Unit responded to the scene and processed evidence, which included recovering shell casings.

(Pittsburgh, PA) A woman is facing charges after police say she zipped a puppy up inside a suitcase in Pittsburgh. Online court records confirm that fifty-six-year-old Jayme White is charged with cruelty to animals, disorderly conduct and related offenses. According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the 400 block of Avery Street around 11:51 p.m. on Friday. A man told officers that White had been yelling at her dog and then zipped it up inside the suitcase she was walking with. Records confirm that White appeared heavily intoxicated and yelled at officers throughout the whole incident. White was taken into custody by officers and she is in the Allegheny County Jail with her bail set at $1,000.

(Pittsburgh, PA) A woman has died after she was found unresponsive in the Perry North neighborhood of Pittsburgh early yesterday morning. According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, emergency crews were called to the 100 block of Watson Boulevard around 2 a.m. after reports of an unresponsive adult woman. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene and a release from the Office of the Allegheny County Medical Examiner states that she was later identified as 44-year-old Michelle Sturdivant. Police confirm that detectives with the Violent Crime Unit are investigating and that the death of Sturdivant is considered suspicious.

(Allegheny County, PA) Pennsylvania State Police in Pittsburgh reported via release on Saturday that eighty-three-year-old Richard Neurohr of Pittsburgh was charged for careless driving after causing a three-vehicle crash in Allegheny County on the morning of December 22nd, 2025. Neurohr was driving on I-79 South in Franklin Park Borough when he slowed and stopped his vehicle while he was in the left lane after missing an exit at 9:15 a.m. The vehicle of Neurohr was hit by the vehicle of thirty-nine-year-old Stephan Tomayko of Freedom and the vehicle of Tomayko was then hit by the vehicle of sixty-one-year-old Leszek Wajler of Searsmont, Maine. No injuries were associated with this crash and the vehicles of both Tomayko and Wajler were towed following the incident.
