Quaker Valley 54, Grove City 48 on Beaver County Radio

In a game that was back and forth to  start, Grave City had WPIAL runner up Quaker Valley at the half by five, but the Quakers had a great third quarter to regain the lead and never looked back to capture the victory to advance in the PIAA state basketball tournament.  Quaker Valley moves on to play Hickory who beat Belle Vernon 92-52 on Tuesday.

Fox Chapel was the setting for 4A Semifinal play between Indiana and Quaker Valley. It was tied at 19 after the first quarter, but Quaker Valley ran away with it. The CCBC players of the game are: Quaker Valley- Coletrane Washington and Indiana- Tommy Arbuckle. The final score was Indiana-41, Quaker Valley-71. Quaker Valley takes on New Castle Saturday at the Petersen Event Center.
