Coaches Corner Celebration
Ryan Matsook and the Beaver Falls Tigers will be joining Bob Barrickman and the gang on Coaches Corner at Robert’s Roadside Inn Wednesday, November 23rd at 7:00 p.m. They will be celebrating Beaver Falls WPIAL Championship.
Center Township Home Destroyed
A fire destroyed a 2 story frame home on McCracken Drive in Center Township Friday afternoon. Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano reports that Fire Captain Chris Shaffer said Friday evening a female resident was taken to the hospital as a precaution and released . Shaffer said firefighters responded at 2:34 p.m. to the home located in mcCracken Farms off Chapel Road. Center Township police Chief Barry Kramer said this morning Township fire marshal Mike Seigal will investigate the cause.

Jeannette 30, Rochester 20
Rochester and Jeannette met for the first time ever in the WPIAL Class 1A Semi-Final on Saturday night at Fox Chapel. It was history in the making.
But as Rochester was to find out, history-making does not automatically result in an outcome worth remembering.
A dominant third quarter by the #3 Jayhawks led to a 30-20 victory over the #2 Rochester Rams on WMBA tonight. Rochester took an initial 6-0 lead before giving up 30 unanswered through the middle quarters. Jeannette will play Clairton in the WPIAL 1A Final next Saturday. Rochester ends its season at 11-1.
Caleb Collins (Rochester) and Gio Vonne Sanders (Jeanette) were selected as the CCBC Players of The Game.

Steel Valley 42, Riverside 0
In Week 1, Steel Valley defeated Riverside 41-7.
11 weeks later, the Panthers got a rematch with the Ironmen.
The Panthers wanted revenge.
Instead all they got was a re-run.
#1 Steel Valley defeated #4 Riverside 42-0 in the WPIAL Class 2A semifinals at Newman Stadium on WBVP. It was the 12th straight game in which the undefeated Ironmen forced the Mercy Rule. Steel Valley will play Neshannock in the WPIAL 2A Finals next Saturday. Riverside ends its season at 9-3.
Riverside’s Kyle Marweg and Steel Valley’s DeWayne Murray were named the CCBC Players of The Game.

Beaver Falls Wins WPIAL AA Championship!
Congratulations to the Beaver Falls Tigers for winning the WPIAL AA Championship, 35 to 22 over Aliquippa. This is the fourth time that Beaver Falls has won the title, the first in 32 years. They now move on to the state finals. Way to go Tigers!!

Over 100 teachers , all members of the AMBRIDGE AREA EDUCATION ASSOCIATION ATTENDED WEDNESDAY NIGHT’S BOARD MEETING , STOOD UP WITH SIGNS, AND TOLD THE BOARD ‘WE WANT TO NEGOTIATE ‘, ACCORDING TO LAUREN MAWHINNEY , ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT. According to Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano, THE TEACHERS HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A CONTRACT SINCE JULY 2015, SHE SAID, THAT’S OVER 500 DAYS. SHE SAID THE 2 SIDES HAVE BEEN RHEOUGH FACT FINDING , AND BOTH SIDES VOTED IT DOWN. MAWHINNEYSAID THE 2 SIDES HAVE BEEN IN TALKS SINCE JANUARY 2015, AND HINDRANCES INCLUDE: PERSONNEL CHANGES, INCLUDING THE SUPERINTENDENT, ASST. SUPERINTENDENT, BUSINESS MANAGER, AND THE SCHOOL BOARD. Central Valley School Board Announces New Paraprofessional
The Central Valley School board has announced that Jill Klemencic will begin her duties as a paraprofessional in the district on November 29. 2016. According to Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano, the hiring is pending reciept, review, and acceptance of her clearances.
New Brighton Man Cut By A Knife During Fight
Police in Ellwood City report a New Brighton man was flown to Allegheny General Hospital after being cut by a knife during a fight at a bar in Ellwood City. According to police, the 28-year-old man was recovering from the injury. According to police, the man said he was in a fight at Weisz’s Hazel Manor, on North St. The victim was treated initially at Ellwood City Hospital before being transported to Allegheny General Hospital by medical helicopter. The investigation is continuing.
