Chili Cook-Off Returns To Brady’s Run Lodge On April 19

The Rochester Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Chili Cook-Off on April 19 at the Brady’s Run Lodge. Chamber member Norm Ely spoke to Matt Drzik during A.M. Beaver County to discuss this year’s event, as well as other things that the Chamber is planning throughout the spring and summer.

Meeting Planned In Aliquippa Tonight To Focus On Shell Pipeline

ANYONE WISHING TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SHELL PIPELINE COMPANY’S PROPOSED FALCON ETHANE PIPELINE…IS INVITED TO ATTEND A MEETING TONIGHT HOSTED BY THE CLEAN AIR COUNCIL. THE 94-MILE PIPELINE WILL FEED ETHANE INTO SHELL’S SIX-BILLION-DOLLAR CRACKER PLANT ON THE BANKS OF THE OHIO RIVER IN POTTER TOWNSHIP. THE INFORMAL PUBLIC MEETING WILL BE HELD AT UNCOMMON GROUNDS IN ALIQUIPPA FROM 6 TO 7:30. IT WILL INCLUDE SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED IN THE PIPELINE INDUSTRY…BUT NOBODY FROM SHELL IS EXPECTED TO BE IN ATTENDANCE. Two People Hurt In Conway Shooting

Police have one suspect in custody and are looking for a second after two people were injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in Conway. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. inside a home in the 1300 block of Fourth Avenue. According to police, one of the victims was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital in critical condition. He was shot in the head. A second person had a finger injury. It’s unclear if that person was shot. That victim was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and has since been released and was interviewed by police last night. The suspect that was taken into custody was arrested at the nearby Conrail Yard. Officials say the shooting appears to be drug-related.

Man Arrested For Threatening To Blow Up Ambridge Police Department

An Ambridge man is facing charges after allegedly threatening to blow up the Ambridge police department. According to a police report, 26-year-old John Tierney made several threats in an internet chat room, one of which stated there was a bomb in a the borough’s police station. Bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in, but no explosives were detected.

Terry is the Director of Luthern Senior Services and Micahel is the Meals on Wheels Manager in Beaver County  for Luthern Senior Services. They discussed the Meals on Wheels program with host Frank Sparks and A.M. Beaver County host Matt Drzik joined in and was trying some of the meals that Michael had brought in for sampling.  Matt told the listeners how tasty the Beef Stew meal is. Wayne Harley talked Rural Road Safety on Teleforum

Wayne Harley from the Beaver Lawrence Farm Bureau joined Frank Sparks on Teleforum to talk about Rural Road Safety on Tuesday April 11, 2017. The discussion was about driving safely on rural roads and sharing the roads with farmers who must travel on those roads to go from crop to crop. Wayne and Frank Also talked about the upcoming tractor expo at the Big Knob Grange this Saturday April 15, 2018 from 10 am to 2 pm. Wayne displays a sign that is being used in yards of rural neighborhoods to warn drivers of Farm vehicles.

“The Way Of The Cross” To Be Presented In Bridgewater On Good Friday

In cooperation with the borough of Bridgewater, the Bridgewater First Presbyterian Church and the Church of The Living Christ will present “The Way Of The Cross”, a live re-enactment of the Final Procession of Jesus Christ on Good Friday beginning at noon. Dr. William Silver, who is the pastor at Bridgewater First Presbyterian, joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver County Tuesday morning to discuss the spiritual nature and details of this event.
