Senior Day at the Mall May 2017

   

Beaver County Radio held a live broadcast from Senior Day at the Mall on May 10, 2017.  Senior Day was held around the Center at the Mall located in the Beaver Valley Mall and organized by The Beaver County Office On Aging.   The event and broadcast ran from 10:00 AM to Noon.

Frank Sparks and Ed Hermick had a long line of interviews throughout the morning highlighting some of the vendors that attended the event.  With the addition of the Personality Prize Wheel, the crowd never seemed to thin around the Beaver County Radio table.

Susan Boser, Penn State Extension on Teleforum !!!

Susan Boser, Water Resources Educator for the Penn State Extension in Beaver, appeared on Teleforum with Frank Sparks this morning, May 9, 2017. Frank and Susan discussed the growing population of Mosquito in our area and the ever popular West Nile virus. Susan explained what the mosquito traps look like that are placed in areas throughout the county to capture mosquito so they may be tested for West Nile. Once it is determined that an area is infected by possible West Nile they then spray that area. Susan also discussed and demonstrated products to assist in repelling mosquito around your house. Susan is displaying one of the products in her picture above. Susan took phone calls and answered many questions that were asked by our listeners. “Health & History” Is The Focus of May 10 Senior Day At The Mall

The Beaver County Office On Aging, in cooperation with the Beaver Valley Mall, is presenting Senior Day At The Mall on May 10 from 10:00 to Noon at the Beaver Valley Mall in Monaca.

Beaver County Radio will broadcast live from Senior Day, as Frank Sparks and Ed Hermick will have the prize wheel going, as well as on-air interviews.
