Commissioner Amadio Says Surplus Makes Him Feel “Vindicated”; Camp Says They Don’t Deserve Credit

Beaver County Commissioners Tony Amadio and Dan Camp appeared on Teleforum this morning…talking about the news they received during their work session yesteday… that they’re substantially in the black as far as the budget is concerned.

Here’s what Commissioners Camp had to say…

As Beaver County Radio’s Greg Benedetti reported earlier this morning, Financial Administrator Ricardo Luckow gave the commissioners some surprising news – that the county ended 2017 with an unexpected surplus of 4-point-7-million dollars.Commissioners Amadio had this reaction…

Commissioner Amadio conceded that when all is said and done, the actual surplus probably won’t be that high…but both he and Commissioner Camp say …it’s still a welcome surprise:

Amadio told our Frank Spark this morning…that this bit of good news makes him feel vindicated:

Commissioner Camp says credit for the surplus doesn’t belong to the commissioners…

The commissioners made the comments on ASK THE COMMISSIONERS during Teleforum on Beaver County Radio this morning.
