Quest For The Cup 2017: Beaver County Radio’s Penguins Pep Rally

The Pittsburgh Penguins are up 2 games to 0 on the Nashville Predators, and Beaver County Radio cheered them on with a pep rally at the Beaver County Courthouse on Friday afternoon. The SDS line (Sparks, Drzik, Septak) joined Bob Barrickman, Caleb Pasquale, Mark Peterson, and many fellow Penguin fans in a time of celebration, prediction, and some good food.

21st Berkshire Hathaway Make-A-Wish Yard Sale (June 2, 2017)

Berkshire Hathaway Realtor Services in Beaver teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for its 21st annual open yard sale right on their campus on Corporation Street. Matt Drzik and Ed Hermick showed up with the prize wheel and tunes, and during Teleforum spoke to Berkshire Hathaway members Debbie Sample and Bob Garvin, as well as several Beaver County Radio colleagues that were around and looking for good deals, for an amazing cause.

B.F. Car Cruise Committee Members on Teleforum

Sam Florida, Steve Peterson and Tom Gargaro, members of the Beaver Falls Car Cruise committee, were guests on Teleforum with Frank Sparks on Thursday June 1, 2017. The guys talked about this years cruise on Saturday June 10 that will be on seventh avenue in Beaver Falls. The cruise is from one to nine p.m. rain or shine. The guys highlighted many of the activities that will be going on along with the cruise. WBVP and WMBA will broadcast live throughout the day. PENS Pep rally at the Beaver County Court House Tomorrow

There’s no better way to spend your Friday than eating great food and cheering on your favorite hockey team. Beaver County radio and The Beaver County Commissioners invite all of Beaver County to do exactly that tomorrow, Friday June 2, 2017 in front of the Beaver County Courthouse from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.. It’s a Quest for the Cup Pep rally. Many great people have worked hard to bring you this awesome event. Beaver County Native May Be Joining Trump Administration

A Beaver County native may be in line to become President Trump’s top White House adviser. There’s word this morning that the administration could bring in David Urban to replace Reince Priebus as the President’s chief of staff. Urban grew up in Hopewell before graduating from West Point and served in the Persian Gulf War. He worked as an adviser to Trump’s campaign for the Pennsylvania and Indiana primaries.

South Side Girls fall in W.P.I.A.L. 2A Softball Final

The South side Lady Rams lost 2 to 0 in the W.P.I.A.L 2A Softball Final to Frazier. The Lady Rams will now move onto the state play-offs next week. WBVP and WMBA play by Announcer  Bob Barrickman and color commentator Bruce Frey called all the action  for Beaver County Radio.

 

Body Found In Ohio River Identified As That Of Missing Kayaker

The Beaver County Coroner has identified a body pulled from the Ohio River as a second kayaker missing following an accident at a dam that also killed her friend.Beaver County Coroner David Gabauer said Tuesday that he identified the body found Sunday as that of 25-year-old Helene Brandy based on “circumstances, demographics and partial dental records.” Rulings on the cause and manner of death are still pending. Brandy and 25-year-old Brittany Evans were kayaking on the river May 20 when witnesses saw their kayaks plunge over the Dashfields Locks and Dam in Edgeworth. Evans’ body was found shortly afterward. The friends took a selfie together shortly before the accident. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says it will post seven additional warning buoys, something family members have called for.
