Police in New Castle said a man wearing a mask and carrying a knife sexually assaulted two people shortly after midnight Thursday. According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, patrols have been increased in the area of Logan Street and Boyles Avenue. Police say that is the area where the victims were walking when they were approached by the suspect. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call New Castle police at (724) 656-3585.

19-year-old Pennsylvania Man Charged With Assisting Isis
Federal authorities say a 19-year-old pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group, used Twitter to spread its propaganda and had a backpack with ammunition that suggests he might have been plotting an attack. Harrisburg resident Jalil Ibn Ameer Aziz was arrested yesterday and charged with two counts of attempting to provide material support to terrorists.

Penguins Suffer Major Injuries, Call Up Three Players, Play In Boston Tonight.
This is not what Mike Sullivan signed up for when he succeeded fired coach Mike Johnson last Saturday. After the lost Monday night, he lost goaltender Marc Andre Fleury for a least a week due to a concussion. Winger Beau Bennett was injured Monday night and will be out at least four weeks with a upper body injury. Jeff Zatkoff will start in goal tonight at Boston. Three players were called up from the Baby Pens. Goaltender Matt Murray will back up Zatkoff. Center Kevin Porter and left winger Corey Sheary will join the Penguins tonight. The Pirates have resigned veteran utility man Sean Rodriguez. He agreed to a one year 2.5 million dollar deal. Rodriguez played in 139 games last season. He hit 246 with 4 home runs. He also played all the infield and corner outfield positions.
Lady Dukes Win…Omogrosso honored
The Duquesne Women’s team stretched their record 10-1 with a 79-54 victory over Slippery Rock Tuesday night at the Palumbo Center. Duquesne Guard April Robinson has been named the Atlantic-10 player of the week. Blackhawk grad Chasidy Omogrosso was the conference’s Rookie Of The Week. It is only the second time the Lady Dukes have swept the honors. The mens team 8-2 host South Carolina State at the Palumbo Center tonight at 7:30.
Two WPIAL Teams Play Saturday For PIAA Championships On Saturday
The WPIAL has two teams going for PIAA Championships on Saturday. The AA championship game matches to undefeated teams Aliquippa vs Southern Columbia. Kickoff is scheduled for noon at Hershey Park Stadium. Air time on WBVP-WMBA is 11:30am. The finale of Championship Weekend is the Quad A game is between Pittsbugh Central Catholic and Parkland. Osweiler will start Sunday
Brock Osweiler will start Sunday when the Broncos make their first trip to Pittsburgh since 2006.
Sunday’s game will mark the fifth consecutive start for Osweiler. The fourth-year veteran has compiled an 85.4 quarterback rating by completing 108 of 170 passes for 1,140 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions since stepping in for the injured Manning late in the Week 10 loss to Kansas City.
The Broncos are 3-1 with Osweiler starting
