FBI Offering Reward That Leads To Arrest Of Armed Ambridge Bank Robber
The FBI is offering a $2,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who authorities say robbed an Ambridge bank at gunpoint on Friday. Police say surveillance cameras captured the robbery at the New Alliance Federal Credit Union on Merchant Street. In the video, the armed robber is seen jumping over counters and going to several different tellers, grabbing cash and leaving the bank within 34 seconds. No one was injured, but police confirmed that the robber had a gun and threatened the tellers with it. Ambridge police say they’re not ruling out the possibility that Friday’s robber is the same man responsible for robbing the Wesbanco on Merchant Street on Dec. 9. Officers say both robbers used the same tactics . Anyone with information on either robbery is asked to contact police by calling (724) 266-3270.
Man With Halloween Mask Attempts Robbery in Monaca Armed With 12-inch Knife
Monaca borough police are investigating an attempted robbery that took place over the weekend…and they’re asking for the public’s help. Sergeant Patrick Young tells Beaver County Radio that a man wearing a Halloween mask attempted to rob the Shanks’s Citgo with a 12-inch knife and then fled towards 9th Street. Sergeant Young says no one was hurt and the robber left empty-handed. If anyone has information, Sergeant Young can be reached at (724) 775-9613.
Horse That Slipped On Ice Rescued In New Sewickley Twp.
A horse was rescued this morning after it slipped on ice in New Sewickley Township. The animal slipped at the bottom of a hill on Cunning Road in New Sewickley and it was unable to get up. A sled was brought in to pull the horse to safety.
Plenty Of Blame To Go Around In Budget Battle, Centrist Lawmakers Say
Some centrist lawmakers suggest there is plenty of blame to go around in the continuing state budget stalemate, with Governor Tom Wolf and top GOP leaders both getting criticism. Wolf is set to deliver his second budget address early next month, even though this year’s budget fight remains unresolved.

With former teammate Maverick Rowan and NC State in town to play Pitt, Lincoln Park has postponed it’s game with Shenango tonight. The game has been moved to Wednesday night at the Midland Gym. The 15-2 Pitt Panthers host the 10-8 North Carolina State Wolfpack at the Peterson Event Center tonight. With their lost Saturday to Louisville, the Panthers fell off the AP Poll but, remains number 20 in the USA Today coaches poll. the Panthers are 4-1 in the ACC. NC State is 0-5. The game is the return of Maverick Rowan. Rowan lead the Lincoln Park Leopards to the 2014 WPIAL-PIAA Titles. He was also the PIAA player of the year 2014. The 19-year-old freshman is averaging 13.3 points per game for the Wolfpack.
Penguins Lose In St Louis ….Prepares For The Flyers.
Four unanswered goals from the Blues lead to a 5-2 lost last night in St Louis. It doesn’t get any easier. The Penguins host their crosstown rival the Philadelphia Flyers Thursday at the Console Energy Center. WBVP-WMBA air time is 6:30 pm
Harrison Future Is Up To Him
Linebacker James Harrison will be 38-years-old before the 2016 season begins. He has one year left on his contract. Harrison told media members that he will take some time to decide whether he will play again. Harrison had an outstanding season and was a mentor to the Steelers young corp of linebackers. It is not game day it is getting ready for for game day says Harrison He is not sure he wants to put his body through one more year of training.
Steelers Exit
Yesterday the Steelers cleaned out their lockers. Today they have their exit interviews with Coach Mike Tomlin and then head for home. A lot of questions remain before the team heads to the draft room in April. The final Mike Tomlin News Conference will be Wednesday at noon on WBVP-WMBA.
