Anniversary of mysterious deaths.

It has been 15 years since a teenagers’ summertime field party ended with the baffling deaths of two high school boys, Shawn Baur and Scott Fosnaught, on a rural road in Butler County.

Since then, vigils have been held; rewards offered; billboards with bigger-than-life photos erected.

All to no avail.

Police speculated at the time that Scott was struck by a large vehicle. Shawn’s death was more baffling. Police had said that, other than a head injury, there were no obvious injuries.
The manner of death — whether an accident or a homicide — has not been determined.

Rewards for information about the deaths total at least $25,000.

CAR CRASHES INTO HOUSE

A car flipped over into a house on Mercer Road in North Sewickley Township around 7:30 Sunday morning.

Police say Zacharie Mitchell, 23, of Monaca, was behind the wheel.

The owner of the home, Susan Baker, said”I heard a big boom and ran to go down the steps,” “But there weren’t any steps there.”

The inside of the home was filled with debris once the car was towed away.
