Blackhawk scored first and dominated the first quarter. West Mifflin and Blakchawk both scored with less than three minutes before the half. Blackhawk maintained the lead, but West Mifflin dominated the third quarter and kept scoring late. The final; West Mifflin-21 Blackhawk-23.

Freedom 24 vs. Avonworth 21 Final on WMBA and Trib-Live High School Sports Network

1460 WMBA’s Tom Hays and Taylor Nichol had the call from Freedom High School of this 2018 WPIAL Class 2A First Round high school football playoff game as the Bulldogs battle the Antelopes.

The game started with Avonworth winning the coin toss and deferring to Freedom. On they’re second possession Freedom was able to punch it in with a 16 yard run by Cody Ross. Avonworth then answered with a 21 yard reception by Turner Grau. On they’re next possession Freedoms Zach Rosa ran for a 64 yard touchdown Bringing the score to Freedom 14 Avonworth 7. About halfway through the second quarter Avonworth score on a 3 yard run by Jax miller tying the game.

At the start of the second half Avonworth fumbled the opening kickoff which was recovered by freedom then immediately freedom scored on a 22 yard run by Zach Rosa. Freedom put a field goal towards the end of the third. then Avonworth would answer with a 3 yard run by Jax miller bringing the score to 24 to 21 freedom. the rest of the game was scoreless giving you a final score of freedom 24 avonworth 21

U.S. Congressman Keith Rothfus talks about his election campaign with Frank Sparks

12th District United States Congressman Keith Rothfus was live in studio with Frank Sparks on Teleforum Friday morning November 2, 2018 at 9:10 to discuss his candidacy for the newly formed 17th Congressional District. The Congressman is a Republican running against Democrat Connor Lamb. Both Rothfus and Lamb current Congressman live in the 17th District after the new redistricting and now have to face off for the seat.

The Congressman told the listeners why he wanted to become a Congressman and what he has been able to accomplish so far during his time in Washington. Rothfus also discussed the need to continue to grow our economy and he has pledge to continue to fight to save the jobs at First Energy. Rothfus stated that now more than ever there is a need for border security. The Congressman vowed to continue to work towards a greater America.

Mother Of Boy Struck By Car In Chippewa Twp Facing Child Endangerment Charges

The mother of the boy struck by a car in Chippewa Township is facing child endangerment charges.  Chavaun Bolton of White Township was charged Thursday after allowing the six-year-old boy and his eleven-year-old sister to walk across a four-lane highway unsupervised Tuesday morning.  The two were trying to cross Route 51 when the boy ran into the road and was hit.  The six-year-old is expected to recover from his injuries.

PennDOT Officials Struggling To Fill Temporary Snow Plow Positions For Winter Season

PennDOT officials say they are struggling to fill temporary snow plow positions for the winter season.  Right now, PennDOT only has half of its available spots filled, which is behind the organization’s typical pace annually.  PennDOT officials are concerned if they can’t fill the remaining positions, drivers would be forced to work longer hours and it may take longer to get to secondary roads.
