Mike McQueary claims in a defamation and whistleblower lawsuit against Penn State that he was wrongly retaliated against and fired in 2012 after Sandusky was convicted of abusing 10 boy.s Jury selection began today.

Pumkinfest – Fun For Everyone in Bridgewater.
(Bridgewater, PA) Beaver County Radio was live on location at Pumkinfest in Bridgewater on Saturday October 8, 2016. Frank Sparks and Al Goehring hosted the festivities. Visitors from all over Beaver County enjoyed vendor booths, a petting zoo, pumpkin Maze, puppet shows and even the Wicked Witch of the West made an appearance!
Pumpkinfest was organized by the Bridgewater Presbyterian Church.

It was a matchup that everybody anticipated.
It was a result that few expected.
The Clairton Bears run away late with a 52-16 win over the Aliquippa Quips on WMBA. Clairton outscored the Quips 26-0 in the second half. With the win, the Bears stay undefeated at 6-0 atop the 1A Eastern Conference (and overall). Aliquippa’s overall record drops to 4-2; their record in the 3A Beaver Valley Conference remains at 4-1.
The Quips’ Avante McKenzie and the Bears’ Lamont Wade were chosen as the CCBC Players of The Game.

It was a defensive struggle between two Big Seven titans, and one team remained undefeated in the standings.
The Rochester Rams won on WBVP Friday night, getting a 28-12 victory over the Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Chargers at Rochester Stadium. The Rams’s victory keeps them undefeated at 6-0 (section and overall), while OLSH drops to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the Big Seven.
Ian Kouba (Rochester) and Matt Schnarre (OLSH) were selected as the CCBC Players of The Game.

Aliquippa Prayer Rally To Be Held Saturday Morning In Wake Of Recent Fatal Shootings
A prayer rally is scheduled tomorrow at 8 a.m. in Aliquippa’s municipal parking lot.The event is sponsored by A BETTER TOMORROW,, and all churches, pastors, parents, students community leaders, business owners, teachers, administrators and city officials, and also residents are invited. Andrenna Williams, is one of the events coordinators. This event is being held in light of the violence that occurred in the last week in the city.
