Hopewell vs. Aliquippa Final on WMBA and Trib-Live High School Sports Network

The Pit in Aliquippa was the scene for history Friday night September 28, 2018 as Beaver County radio 1460 WMBA had the first ever woman color commentator on it’s airways in Taylor Nichol. Tom Hayes called the play by play alongside Taylor as the Aliquippa Quips hosted the Hopewell Vikings in this class 3A Tri-County West match up .

Tonight’s game was exactly what you would expect from the quips. the Score was Aliquippa 53 to Hopewell 0 at the end of the first half enacting the mercy rule for the second half. because of said mercy rule the second half went by very quickly with another set of touchdowns from the quips bringing the final to Aliquippa 65 Hopewell 0

Bob Barrickman and Bruce Fray had the call from Cornell High School with this WPIAL Class 1A Big 7 Conference football game. The weather was perfect for fall football. It was all Rochester all evening. Cornell finally got on the board later in the game. The final score was 43-14 Rochester.
