Dr. Pete Birchler from the Chiropractic Health Center in Chippewa, as part of his series “People Purpose Planet”, shines the focus on a local non-profit organization that gives their services to those in need.
For November, the group brought on was TRAILS Ministries in Beaver Falls, a group that deals with the incarcerated in Beaver County, as well as after-school programs for the youth. TRAILS representatives Abby Young and Kolbe Cole came on A.M. Beaver County with Dr. Birchler to discuss the “Angel Tree” program for the Christmas season.

BEAVER VALLEY CHORAL SOCIETY “REPEAT THE SOUNDING JOY” CONCERTS
Take some time out of your holiday preparations this season to hear the Beaver Valley Choral Society presentation,
“Repeat the Sounding Joy,” a special Christmas concert, in a series of performances at four area churches.
Admission is free to all concerts, but donations are accepted.

The BVCS Treble Youth Chorale will perform during intermission at the December 9 St. Cecilia concert.
The Treble Youth Chorale will present its entire Christmas concert on Friday, December 14 at 7pm at Monaca United

An Ambridge man is accused of intimidating a witness following his preliminary hearing last month. Xavier Hightower reportedly shouted to a woman that he would choke her as they left a hearing October 30th. The hearing was reportedly over allegations the 25-year-old punched a woman after an argument during a youth football game in August.
A Beaver man is facing child pornography charges. Casey Jones was charged after allegedly sending two videos to an undercover state trooper over Bit Torrent. The 30-year-old was arrested later at his home in the one-thousand-block of Seventh Street. Jones is free on ten-thousand-dollars bail.
THE FREEDOM AREA SCHOOL BOARD IS SEEKING TO REPLACE A MEMBER WHO RECENTLY RESIGNED. ALAN COLORITO – THE FORMER TREASURER OF THE SCHOOL BOARD – RESIGNED HIS POSITION AT A MEETING LAST WEEK. THE DISTRICT IS NOW SEEKING APPLICANTS TO REPLACE COLORITO. ANYONE INTERESTED IN APPLYING MUST HAVE LIVED IN THE DISTRICT FOR AT LEAST ONE YEAR, AND MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER. THEY MUST SUBMIT A LETTER OF INTEREST AND RESUME TO SUPERINTENDENT JEFF FULLER AT 1702 SCHOOL DISTRICT IN FREEDOM. APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY NOVEMBER 27TH. THE BOARD IS EXPECTED TO MAKE A DECISION ON THE NEW MEMBER IN DECEMBER. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL SERVE UNTIL DECEMBER OF 2019.

A Brighton Township man is heading to prison after entering a guilty plea to burglary charges. John Ours entered the plea to charges of stealing scrap metal and tools from Esmark Steel in Vanport Township in August 2017. The 32-year-old will spend up to six years in prison.
