Brianna D’Itri talks Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Teleforum
Brianna D’Itri was a guest on Teleforum with Frank Sparks this morning at Ten O’clock. Brianna is the Medical Advocacy Education and Outreach Specialist at the Women’s Center of Beaver County.
The main reason for her appearance was to talk about October being Domestic Violence Awareness month. The listeners were told that there are many different types of domestic violence and that it isn’t always physical and that there are many other forms of domestic violence some examples are verbal and emotional. Brianna said that the Women’s Center of Beaver County isn’t only for women as their name infers. They are there for everyone who feels that they have been thru this major trama. The Women’s Center is there to support and assist victims of domestic violence even if they just need someone to talk to. Brianna also talked about the great partners they have in the community that assist them with their mission.

Mike Sullivan Wants The Penguins To “Play The Right Way”
The Penguins were victorious at Madison Square Garden last night against the New York Rangers, winning by a score of 5-4 in overtime. Sidney Crosby tied the game up in the final minute, and Evgeni Malkin won it in the opening minute of the extra frame.
Despite the victory, the Penguins gave up many chances to New York in the final 20 minutes, including the Michael Grabner goal that gave the Rangers a 4-3 advantage. Coach Mike Sullivan said after the game that the team needs to have confidence in their ability to score and “play the game the right way”. TESTIMONY IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THIS MORNING…IN A BEAVER COUNTY FATAL SHOOTING TRIAL. 25-YEAR-OLD TYRONE “KUNTA” SAVAGE IS ACCUSED OF SHOOTING AND KILLING 25-YEAR-OLD JUSTIN SIMMONS OF ALIQUIPPA. ACCORDING TO PUBLISHED REPORTS, A BEAVER FALLS WOMAN TESTIFIED SHE WITNESSED THE SHOOTING AT A CITY HOUSING COMPLEX LAST YEAR BUT DIDN’T REPORT WHAT SHE SAW UNTIL THE NEXT DAY.
Former Aliquippa High School Football Player Sentenced For Double Murder
An Aliquippa teenager was sentenced to decades in prison Tuesday for his September conviction for setting up a 2016 robbery that ended with two teens being murdered. Ronald Foster was sentenced to 34-70 years for the crime involving the murders of Cade Booher, who was 16 years old, and 17-year-old Dane Mathesius, who was an accomplished pianist. Foster was 17 years old at the time of the killings. A 13-year-old boy who was in the front seat survived the shooting and was a key witness in the trial. The accused shooter, Lawrence Reddick, should be going on trial within the next couple of months.
