12th Annual Hangar Dinner Dance, November 3rd

Come Swing On Out to Air Heritage and enjoy the sounds of the Beaver BOPCATS Swing Band, an all Beaver Area School District alumni band.

Dress up in your favorite 40’s attire (optional) and jive to the 40’s tunes that will be playing throughout the night on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 5:30 PM – 11 PM

There will be prizes for the top three dance partners of the evening, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.

Limited tickets are available and must be RESERVED ON OR BEFORE October 29th. ACCORDING TO POLICE, THE BODY OF 58-YEAR-OLD CHARLES LEE BLACKBURN WAS DISCOVERED IN A WOODED AREA OF THE STATE GAMELANDS WEST OF VALLEY ROAD IN DARLINGTON. AN INVESTIGATION IS IN PROGRESS, HOWEVER, ACCORDING TO POLICE, AT THIS TIME, THERE ARE NO INDICATIONS OF FOUL PLAY.

I-376 Beaver Valley Expresway Lane Restrictions This Week In Center Township

PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on Interstate 376 (Beaver Valley Expressway) in Center Township, Beaver County will occur today through Saturday, October 23-27 weather permitting. Single-lane restrictions will occur in each direction of I-376 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day between the Center (Exit 42) and Aliquippa (Exit 45) interchanges as crews conduct work on a downed conductor adjacent to the highway as a result of damage caused by a gas line explosion. Additionally, today short-term traffic stoppages of five minutes or less will occur on I-376. PennDOT is not involved in this work and is providing this information as a public service announcement only. DJ Frye Talks About National School Bus Safety Week

All across America, a majority of school kids take the big yellow school bus to and from school each day. However, there have been concerns spanning decades about the safety of the school bus, and what parents and students should do.

DJ Frye of Frye Transportation in Ohioville (and Brighton Township) joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver County on October 23 in lieu of National School Bus Safety Week. Among the issues discussed were the frequency of potential emergencies, the things a student/passenger should do in case of an emergency, and the always-controversial subject of seat belts.
