Beaver County Radio and the Pirates Treasure Chest at Life Beaver County on Friday May 17, 2019

(Center Twp., Pa) The Beaver County Radio Pittsburgh Pirates Treasure Chest made an appearance at Life Beaver County in Center Twp. Frank Sparks, Host of Teleforum and Ed “The Master” Hermick were on  hand for a live broadcast from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on 1230 WBVP and 1460 WMBA.

The participants had a good time playing games and spinning the prize wheel and the highlight of the day the Pittsburgh Pirates Treasure Chest. The participants had to answer Pirates trivia questions correctly to get to make a trip into the chest and pick out a prize.  Ed Hermick was the emcee for Bingo in which the winners received a prize.

Your next chance to win prizes out of the Beaver County Radio Pittsburgh Pirates Treasure Chest  will be Saturday May 18, 2019 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Abbey Carpet and Floor located off of the Center Exit on 376 in Center Twp.

Televangelist Pat Robertson: Alabama Abortion Law Goes ‘Too Far’; Calls It ‘Extreme’

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Conservative televangelist Pat Robertson says Alabama has “gone too far” by passing a bill that would make performing an abortion a felony in nearly all cases. Robertson is a longtime abortion opponent, but on Wednesday, as he hosted “The 700 Club” on the Christian Broadcasting Network, he called the bill “extreme” and noted that it does not have exceptions for rape or incest.

West Newton Woman, Upset She Didn’t Receive Birthday Gift, Allegedly Attacks Boyfriend With Box Cutter

WEST NEWTON, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania woman allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a box cutter because no one got her a card, cake or gift on her 55th birthday. Georgia Zowacki is charged with aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and other counts. Authorities say Zowacki had been drinking vodka throughout the day on Wednesday. Her boyfriend took her out to dinner that night, but he said she attacked him when they returned to their West Newton home. She allegedly put the box cutter near his throat after realizing that no one got her anything for her birthday.

Aliquippa Unsolved Murder Case To Be Featured On ’48 Hours’ This Weekend

This weekend, the unsolved murder of Rachael DelTondo will be featured on C-B-S’s 48 Hours program. The former cyber charter school teacher was shot to death outside her parents’ home last Mother’s Day. Since her death, several people have been questioned and three high ranking Aliquippa cops were placed on administrative leave for varying lengths of time. The program will air Saturday night.

Bill Would Prohibit Anyone Under 18 From Getting Married In PA

A bill that prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from getting married in PA is moving on to the state House for a full vote.  The House Judiciary Committee unanimously passed the measure this week.  PA is one of 27 states that don’t currently have a minimum age for children to get married.  Officials add they are unsure how many under-18 marriages happened in the commonwealth because PA doesn’t keep those records.

Biden, Sanders Beat Trump In Latest Pennsylvania Poll

One pollster says Pennsylvania would go to Joe Biden if the election were held today. Quinnipiac University’s poll out this week shows the former vice president leading the incumbent, Donald Trump, 53-to-42. The poll also has Bernie Sanders with a slight lead over Trump, while all others are neck-and-neck.
