Trial Underway In Case Of Beaver Falls Father Accused Of Beating His 4-Month-Old Baby

The trial has begun for a Beaver Falls father accused of severely beating his 4-month-old son. 24-year-old John Crawford is charged with aggravated assault and other offenses. In November 2017, police alleged Crawford had told them the baby wouldn’t stop crying, so he threw the boy on the couch and later shook him in frustration when the crying wouldn’t stop. The boy had fractured ribs which police said Crawford claimed were caused by hugging the baby too tightly.
