The best of Beaver County was about learning and security

(Beaver Falls,Pa.) The Best of Beaver County is easy to discover; it’s right on your radio!  Tune in every Thursday from 11 to 11:30 A.M.  for “The Best of Beaver County”, an innovative radio program on WBVP and WMBA presented by St. Barnabas. The show is hosted by Jim Roddey and is dedicated to shining light on the great things going on right here in local neighborhoods, and the people that are making it happen.  Find out what all the buzz is about by joining “The Best Of Beaver County”.  Jim’s guests this week were Stephen Catanzarite, Managing Director at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland and Bob Bikerton from MGSoft-Net Inc. Bob’s company is the the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce’s small business of the year.

In the first segment Catanzarite talked aout growing up in Rochester and his committment to the Beaver County and what he does as the Managing Director of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. Catanzarite talked about his days working for Ryno Productions and his love for what he does. He said he also appreciates the way that the town of Midland has embraced Lincoln Park especially after the collaspe of the steel industry cost Midland their high school. Roddey and Catanzarite the went on to talk about and exciting new venture, that was announced a few weeks ago by Lincoln Park, in which they are working with local developer Chuck Betters to make a school for the trades so that students can learn life trades.

 

 

In the second segment Mr. Roddey was joined by Bob Bikerton who grew up in Center Twp and how he and his wife came to own MGSoft-Net Inc.. Bikerton told Roddey about computer security and how the safest eay to send info is thru a fax. Bikerton talked about his love for what he does and how he is honored to be the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce small business of the year.

2019 Beaver County Candidate Spotlight kicks off with Steve Necaster on Beaver County Radio

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) It is voting season and with just a couple weeks left until the November 5th general election Frank Sparks kicked off a series of interviews on Teleforum on Thursday October 24, 2019  highlighting the candidates running for contested offices and seats in Beaver County.

Frank’s first guest was Republican Candidate for the Court of Common Pleas, Steve Necaster. Steve told the listerners about his ealry life growing up in Rochester, New York. Steve then talked about how he decided to attend Geneva College where he met his wife. After graduating from Geneva he went to law school at Regent University and after law school he and his wife settled in Harrisburg. Pa. for a short time before moving back to Beaver County where his wife is originally from. Necaster proceeded to talk about his passion for law and helping people and that is what drives him and why he wants to be a judge for the Beaver County Court of Common Pleas.

Career Day at the Mall Was a Success!

(Monaca, PA): The PA Career Link in the Beaver Valley Mall hosted their annual Job and Career Fair from 10:00AM to 2:00PM, which brought over 90 vendors to the event and a lot of people from the Beaver County area to the Mall. Zach Ulrich was there broadcasting live during “Teleforum” hosted by Frank Sparks. Beaver County Radio also had a table there for people that were interested in a Career in Radio, along with all the other various Career possibilities there as well. Government, Retail and Construction were just some of the many categories of Careers that were at the event today. PA Career Link is located right across from Planet Fitness in the Mall (Next to the Senior Center) for all career help, info or if you need to make a resume.

Graham Resolution Condemns ‘Closed’ House Impeachment Probe

WASHINGTON (AP) — GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham, a top ally of President Donald Trump, is introducing a resolution condemning the Democratic-controlled House for pursuing a “closed door, illegitimate impeachment inquiry.” Graham announced the move Thursday. The nonbinding resolution gives Senate Republicans a chance to show support for Trump at a moment when Trump is urging his GOP allies to get tougher and fight harder for him as the House impeachment probe gathers steam.

Joseph Max Lewis Talks About World Polio Day On A.M. Beaver County

Though polio is still a grim disease alone in its utter existence, World Polio Day, celebrated on October 24 this year, leaves plenty of reason to celebrate.

Author/attorney/Rotarian Joseph Max Lewis came on A.M. Beaver County with Matt Drzik to talk about World Polio Day, and gave an extensive history on how the disease first was handled, and the incredible numbers that have polio on the verge of being eliminated from human existence. The conversation also talked about the different organizations that help in the funding to stop polio, and how the elimination of that disease could inspire the elimination of other disease.

Amazon Breaks Ground on First Fulfillment in Pittsburgh Area

Amazon broke ground Wednesday on its 11th fulfillment center in Pennsylvania and its first in the Pittsburgh area. The new facility will be located on Westport Road in Findlay Township, not far from Pittsburgh International Airport. Members of the West Allegheny High School marching band’s drum line performed at the groundbreaking yesterday. The new fulfillment center will be open in time for the 2020 holiday shopping season. Amazon expects to create more than 800 new full-time jobs.
