Central Valley girls defeated Knoch 52-47 in an overtime thriller that had fans on the edge of their seat. Both teams came out the gate swinging keeping the game close and not allowing the other to jump out to big lead early. The Lady Warriors took a five point lead heading into the half. The game stayed close throughout the half, both teams kept going back and forth with the lead. The game ultimately needed overtime to decide the winner. And Central Valley held Knoch to 0 points in OT while scoring 5 points themselves to give them the victory.
Blackhawk girls basketball defeated Indiana 58-44. The Lady Cougars came out the gate strong taking a early lead in the first quarter. And then took a commanding 20 point lead into the half. But, the Lady Indians started coming back as the cut the lead to 10 heading into the fourth. But, it was not enough for the Lady Cougars crushed any chances of coming back.

Tune into 1230 WBVP, 1460 WMBA, and 99.3 FM Friday, February 21, 2020 during Teleforum at 10:10 a.m. for a special interview with Beaver County Treasurer Sandie Egley about the growing controversy surrounding Dog Licenses in Beaver County. Joining the Treasurer in studio will be First Deputy CB Netherland.
They will discuss the possibility with Frank Sparks of being able to apply for your dog license on line. Plus there has been other ideas put on the table from other Beaver County officials.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2020 Citizen’s Police Academy (CPA) classes. Classes begin on March 9th and will continue for 10 weeks in the Community Room of the Beaver Borough building on Monday nights from 6-9 PM. These classes are free.
Classes will give an inside look at the Beaver/Industry/Vanport Police operations, while discussing the principles of community policing.

Requirements of Participation:
The Beaver Area School District plans to invest as much as more than 4-million dollars into renovating its swimming pool. Officials voted 6 to 3 to move forward with the first phase of the controversial project. Phase One will begin immediately and is expected to run through September.
