First responders say two people were killed in a shooting at a church near Fort Worth, Texas, and a third person has been taken to a hospital. MedStar Mobile Healthcare spokeswoman Macara Trusty told the Associated Press on Sunday that one person died at the church in White Settlement, about 8 miles west of Fort Worth and another died en route to a hospital.

LSU offensive guru Steve Ensminger had far more than football on his mind at the Peach Bowl. Ensminger learned before the game his daughter-in-law had been killed in a plane crash in Louisiana. The plane was bound for Atlanta and his son’s wife, Carley McCord, planned to attend the game. Ensminger managed to gather himself to call the game of his career as the Tigers beat No. 4 Oklahoma 63-28 in the playoff semifinal.  Before the Tigers head to New Orleans to play in the national championship game, Ensminger will seek comfort from family and friends in Baton Rouge.

Joe Burrow turned in the greatest performance yet in his Heisman Trophy season, throwing for seven touchdowns and 493 yards as No. 1 LSU romped to a breathtaking 63-28 victory over No. 4 Oklahoma in the Peach Bowl semifinal. The unbeaten Tigers now head to the national football championship game against either No. 3 Clemson. They are certainly clicking on all cylinders, having dismantled the Sooners with a first half for the ages. Burrow tied the record for any college bowl game with his seven TDs — all before halftime. Justin Jefferson had four TD catches.

Trevor Lawrence connected with Travis Etienne on a 34-yard touchdown with 1:49 left in the fourth quarter and No. 3 Clemson beat No. 2 Ohio State 29-23 Saturday night at the Fiesta Bowl to advance to the College Football Playoff championship game. The Tigers went 94 yards on four plays in 1:18, with Lawrence completing all three of his passes and mixing in an 11-yard run. The sophomore quarterback who has never lost a college start passed for 259 yards and two scores and ran for a career-high 107 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown late in the first half. Clemson sealed it by intercepting Justin Fields’ pass into the end one with 37 seconds left.

Authorities say five people were stabbed when a man attacked a Hanukkah celebration north of New York City. The town of Ramapo’s police chief says New York City police located a vehicle and possible suspected wanted in connection with the Saturday night stabbings in Monsey. Public records show the attack took place at the home of a rabbi who leads an adjacent synagogue. Monsey is one of several Hudson Valley towns that has received an influx of Hasidic Jews. Jewish communities in the New York City metropolitan region have been shaken by a string of recent attacks targeting Jews.

President Donald Trump will start the new year knee-deep in foreign policy challenges. At the same time, he’ll have to deal with a likely impeachment trial in the Senate and his campaign for reelection. Trump says he believes his impeachment him will help him win re-election. But it could lessen the time, focus and political clout he needs to resolve complex global issues like North Korea’a nuclear provocations. Trump also is facing simmering tensions with Iran, fallout from his decision to reduce troops in Syria, ongoing unease with Russia and Turkey, and questions about the future of U.S.-Taliban talks.

Lincoln Park vs Highlands

Highlands runs through Lincoln Park by a score of 73-51. The game started out as a good one, heading into half-time Highlands was leading Lincoln Park 35-27. And after half-time it was different story, Highlands came out in the second half and stomped Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park just had no answer for Highlands in the second half and struggled to make shots.

 

 

 

Central Valley v Montour Postgame

It was a good one tonight as the Central Valley Warriors knocked off the Montour Spartans by a score of 60-56. It was a close game throughout as both teams came out the gate running the Warriors took a early 1 point lead into half-time leading 35-34. The Spartans fought hard but ultimately could not knock off the Warriors.
